Some people might think that this is just "another" English teaching channel. This is one of the greatest channels I've discovered on RU-vid that addresses many nuances that you never find anywhere else.
Thank you for your time and invaluable lessons. I’ve lived in America for over thirty years now, and even though I speak, understand, read, and write English, I have been reading learning subtle nuances of the language I never thought before. I am now becoming more conscious of my grammar and pronunciation when communicating with others, either in writing or verbally.
Thanks Lisa, Your way of teaching is very different from other RU-vidRS. I carefully observed that your spoken words and speaking speed are super suitable for learners. This may be one of your specialties. I believe when teaching, the choice of English words must be be different from the everyday use of native speakers. You did a great job, thank you again.
I have been watching your all vedios since 2010 and I have improved my Accent by watching your vedios and reading book I would be thankful to you , Madam the way you teaching and explain it is totally unique You student Mohammed Mohsin
I’ve again learned something new! Thank you, Teacher Lisa! BTW, I’ve once learned that there are reasons behind when to use “get in” and “get on!” Get in: for vehicles on which people cannot stand While Get on: for vehicles where people CAN stand!❤️❤️

This is probably one of your best videos simply because it helps a lot of people who don't have a large vocabulary to use the English language quite effectively. It makes a lot of difference by learning to use the word get since this word is used so commonly in everyday conversation Great 👍👍

Phrasal verbs are really confusing and they need a lot of practice to know how to use them correctly. I know some of them. This useful video added more to learn and practice. Teacher Lisa thank you so much ❤️ for your amazing presentation!
What such a splendid lesson, and the most important thing was I got them all. Now, as Lisa said, practice them over and over again. Thank you Lisa for your great effort.
Thank you, lovely Lisa, for necessary phrasal verb knowledge! So many nuances... These are absent in "Mastering The American Accent". Though the book have brought me a lot of new words, I would be happy to have your "Vocabulary Volume"!🙂 The recent situation that I have to get it over was to rid of bad envy woman cheated me and spoiled my life. I went through the hump in November 2022. This week I have done last actions to solve problems she made. Thanks to good people! Such of them, I suppose, is Bob The Canadian which advises to keep writing comments to train appropriate skill. I like his soothing manner and nature's sights. Good luck!🌹
7:30pm Hi Lisa,I always like your teaching the most to compare with Athens because it was easier to understand and catch the meaning and bring to use I can’t thank you enough for your teaching Lisa bye
The phrase "let something get to someone" means to allow something to affect or upset someone emotionally or mentally. It is often used to describe a situation where someone is affected negatively by a comment, action, or event. Here are some examples of how to use the phrase "let something get to someone" in a sentence: I know she said something rude, but don't let it get to you. He's been letting the stress of work get to him lately, and it's affecting his mood. I don't want to let this setback get to me; I need to stay focused on my goals. The negative comments from the critics really got to the artist, and she considered giving up her work. She's usually very strong-willed, but this news really got to her, and she was visibly upset. In each of these examples, the phrase "let something get to someone" is used to describe the emotional impact that a situation or event can have on an individual, and the need to avoid allowing it to affect them negatively.
Thanks s lot for this formidable lesson which focuses on phrasal verbs. I usually found them very difficult to memorize, but your video is amazingly well explained.
You're my teacher number one ❤ Next time, please put all the examples on the same page because I take screenshots, so that will help me reduce the number of screenshots. Thanks in advance and God bless you and your family.
The quote "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down" come from a band composed by siblings singers from the seventies, The Carpenters. This band recorded dozens of great songs, ideal from listening practice due to its particular pace and rhythm. By the way, I also know a romantic song with to get, that was obviously not mentioned here, to get it on, a song from Marvin Gaye "Let's get it on" which actually has a very romantic meaning.
