A video of a day in Phuket, Thailand. I was staying in the Expat hotel in the popular holiday town of Patong. I went to get a late lunch at Jungceylon shopping mall, then headed back to the pool to chill out, before heading to Bangla Road in the late afternoon to the Kangaroo bar...

7:00 On my last trip to Thailand I had a 1500 baht to burn and time to kill on my last day en route to the airport so I camped out at Coffee Club for several hours and ate 1200 in food and drink. Great spot, and one that I wouldn't have known about were it not for Bangkok 112.

Thai people seem to find enjoyment at the smaller simple pleasures in life, 5:45 a cigarette and menu at a coffee shop enjoying the open air. I envy that type of enjoyment as I sit here in the Portland, Oregon cold rain on my custom built PC with 4k monitor and studio speakers. I gotta change my life pace while I'm still in my 20's and live a little me thinks ;)

@@Nattraks Oh yeah I forgot. So I was 23 when my life was basically going to the job and coming back and spending all my free time on my computer. I saw and ad on RU-vid about some 80 year old guy who was talking about the life he wasted and I decided to go on a trip. I quit my job and went hiking in Scotland, came back and went to Korea, Hong Kong and Japan for like 3-4 months. Best time I've ever had. Met new people, learned to be independant and got a new goal in life. Came back home, went back to university and now I'm halfway through my degree. In a few months I will go to Japan to have an exchange year there which will be awesome. I've learned a lot since that trip and am enjoying my life a lot with a lot of friends and adventures. I recommend.

I was just staying at the Yorkshire for a week. Now I feel homesick, somehow. It’s a reeeaaalllyy easy life to get used to. You basically walked and filmed my daily activities. I love Patong. I keep thinking I’ll pop up in one of these videos. Hopefully not doing anything too embarrassing.

Ha Ha 😂 at 12:15 now you’ve made me feel really old! I remember before that “old” hotel was built there was nothing back there and as they started building we said what are they doing?? they must be crazy........it looked really out of place! We did eventually go up to the restaurant and without doubt had the best Irish coffees ever, the Thai barman was a bloody genius, still talk about them today.

Went to Patong once about 25yrs ago, found it so expensive i never went back. Only 2 things I remember about it, The kangaroo bar and a gogo called Rock Hard, is that still there.

Never stayed at the expat , but have had a beer in the bar , used to be a place where you could have a drink on an alcohol ban day, beer in a coffee cup style .

7:52 this has aged so well. The prices in Patong were the same as London. OK not the trendiest places, but close enough. Thailand needed a reset, especially Phuket.

Great stuff as usual man, much appreciated for my Thai fix. The Coffee Club is a pure rip off yet every one I have seen never really lacks of patrons. Upwards of 10 USD for a breakfast plate plus VAT & service charge? Thais, IMO really can butcher a breakfast of simple eggs & a side of meat quite easily, You cannot be serious. A way better option is to visit a mid sized to large hotel and check the breakfast buffet. Thai kitchens as adept as they are, IMO really can butcher a breakfast easily.

Bro, can you confirm that Crazy Horse Circus no longer there. I just went Phuket 6 to 11 Feb. 2019 and could not find it. Saw other youtube uploads that it should be beside Bar Funk 3 opposite Tiger. May be absorbed by Bar Funk 3 as BF3 has large premises. But how can Crazy Horse closed due to poor business. Kindly reconfirm. Thanks. Similarly, I could not find some of the gogo bars too such as Exotica.

Normally they can, but some hotels are stingy and charge extra for things like breakfast. It goes back to your original booking, always reserve a room for 2 and take it from there. Thanks for watching :)

Coffee Club originates from my home country so I apologise ha. I normally avoid them for the same reason. Many alternatives with better coffee. I don't like giving my hard earned cash to a franchise that blatantly gouges people.

0:55 Most of the guys there were 50 plus and single when I stayed. Was 33 and 34 when I visited. Thats probably why the bar and massage girls there paid me so much attention.
