I have that same edition of Frankenstein and I adore it. Penguin also released a stylish hardback of Dracula in 2020. also looks very cool but those colors pop on Frankenstein!
Yesss I love the skin care! Here for it!! And wow The Number 23.. I need to give that one a watch. Not sure if the world just wasn’t ready for it yet since Jim Carrey was known at the time for his comedy roles, but I remember it not being received very well. So I never gave it a try. Want to watch and see if it was truly not good or people just weren’t ready for serious Jim Carrey lol.
Omg I love Sorority Row. I think it’s a great sorority slasher. 2000s slasher camp. The writer recently teased a sequel. Personally I think the original is the better movie but this remake is a whole lot of fun
It's been a hot minute since I've seen The Number 23. I've always enjoyed Jim as an actor, Liar Liar was one of my favs to watch of his as a kid. I wish he would do more horror or psychological thrillers he's so good in them he was eerie af in The Cable Guy lol.
Great little haul! I really enjoyed the writing in Frankenstein. I went to a thrift store the other day and bought DVDs of Hocus Pocus, Saw and Signs for a few bucks :)! I haven't seen Sings yet but I have a feeling I will like it
So many great stuff. More Scooby Doo stuff to add to your collection! Great vlog and media update. I hope you have a wonderful time for the holidays with your family Kylie! Also you're so close to 30k subs!
So when you got excited to show the next disk I knew you found another Scooby Doo movie 😮. You watch enough of your shows and you just to know Kylie better. 🙂 Yes take care of yourself. I can see that you do so. You set a good example. Me, I’m 68 and my father died of a heart attack at age 69. So I go to the gym frequently, eat good, chiropractor, take the meds my doctor recommended. Still got to have some White Claws or gummy’s and sit back on your watch alongs. I have #9 in Blu-ray. Good story. Yes nice having physical media. You always know you can watch it anytime you want. Sometimes you just have to remember where you put it. Ferris Bueller VHS tape what a find. Interesting you have the Steel Book too. 😉 Gee maybe another steel book may be coming your way soon. Enjoy the Holiday. 🙂🙂🙂 😮I have my son and two grandkids over till next week.
9 is soooo gooood !!!! Im sure if I had seen it as a kid , it would have scared me so much . Definitely ahead of its time and for me , it’s one of the best slow animation / animated films ? It was so good
Good call with picking up Warner Bros. titles. You're absolutely right about how it's being run and how films and shows are being treated like assets instead of art. Ive been doing the same with Fox titles because who knows what Disney will do with them.
Kylie, enjoyed this video so much. Gotta Love Scooby Doo and of course Looney Tunes. I have that and there is 5 other volumes if you can find it. Merry christmas
Yes, 9 was Scary when I was a kid! The marketing is everywhere in 2009 alongside with Coraline! Heck, even both of them show commercials on Cartoon Network?! 9 is good enough movie as creepy animated film. Really love the robotic monsters, and most of the kills felt so Real, and also the main character voice actor is Frodo himself! The guy is everywhere in my childhood. You’re getting stuff like mine? Scooby doo monster in mexico and looney tunes! 😱🙏 Now you’re convinced me enough to hunt down some physical media.
@@KylieRoseanne ahhh ok lol it wouldn’t surprise me if you would pull one of them film techniques on us If that was the case, but I understand, loving the videos 🔥🖤
Awesome physical media haul. I have been purchasing some 4K movies myself: Batman: Mask of the Phantasm Scream Original Trilogy Space Jam: A New Legacy I know I'll be getting more movies and games for Christmas.
Loved the Looney Tunes/ HBO talk. I'm a bigger fan, I ended up getting the three volumes of the Platinum Collection on Blu-Ray when I found good enough deals and some various DVDs that had shorts not covered on the Blu-Rays. If you're okay with DVDs that's a cheaper way to get the three volume Platinum Collection.
lmao a haul wouldn’t be complete without a Scooby dvd the number 23… one of Jim carrey’s attenpt at a serious role. I remember when it came out, never saw it though lol. not great reviews I think, but who knows might be fun. also I was thrifting this week and I found a copy of practical magic and Scooby doo and the ghoul school- lmk if you want either!! damn next time I’m in LA I’ll have to hit Ventura to thrift and hit those vintage stores, great finds!!
Ooh I saw Monster for $2.99 and Stand By Me at whatever store you were at, also lots of classic 2000s comedies at that place.. I remember when that Jim Carrey film came out, I can't remember if I've seen it or not lol.. I remember critics hating it but the audiences were mixed.. I was over Jim Carrey by that time but he's still an all-time great and I'll still watch his classics that I've seen a million times..
Nice haul! Ventura is looking festive af this year! I need to go! I knew the Scooby-Doo gods would be on your side! The number 23 is the only “horror” movie that Jim Carrey has done. I saw it years ago and thought it was weird lol That Frankenstein book is awesome! Perfect for research for your deep dive! Also, since you’re in NorCal, did you get the package I sent you? It should be in a second hand Amazon package. Please lemme know. Merry Christmas cult leader! Yahoo Doray!
-9 and The Number 23 are very good movies. -I have ALL the Looney Tunes Golden Collection dvds, and also all the Looney Tunes Super Stars Collection. I love them. Same with Droopy, I have all the episodes. Good physical media hunting!
I'm dying to read Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. What's crazy is that Mary Shelley started writing Frankenstein at 18. Yep! 18. That's truly amazing. Ventura sounds great for blocking cars. Our crazy car culture needs to end. From both a pollution and global warming standpoint. We need 15 minute cities. We need everything to be localized. We need community. Kylie, sorry for the rant. But cars are the focal point of the disaster that is capitalism.
