Love this video! I've tried repeatedly to get on this flight on previous trips to Pakistan, but never succeeded due to the weather. This shows me what I've missed. :-( It also shows clearly that Pakistan has some of the most spectacular mountain scenery on the planet. I was also excited to see the interior of the Serena Hotel Gilgit where I stayed in 1988. What they didn't show was the view of Rakaposhi from the terraces. An amazing, amazing place!

Took this route back in November 2006, came to look for it on RU-vid as I was reminiscing about Pakistan. Stunning part of the country, beautiful scenery, beautiful people. And the most incredible flight! I'm not an aviation nut, far from it, but it was by far the most exciting flight I've ever taken.

@@truthseeker7423he was obviously refering to landscape. Most of Pakistan is in dry and hot conditions. Just like India a lot also. But there are mountain himalayan regions squashed into Pakistan. Always has been. I'd say Islamabad doesn't really look Pakistan either. It looks like Switzerland to me. Only cus it's surrounded by mountains God bless it's beauty.
Hi, I am a Pakistani American living in the US. and know sam from airlinersdotnet. I would like to come to point, the pilot says to sam " it does not look like part of Pakistan right! ", what he meant by this. Did he mean that Pakistan is ugly and this is the only beautiful part. what he should have said instead if he really wanna open his mouth " did you see how beautiful Pakistan is" otherwise just fly the plane. These people should have give some directions to what to say.

It looks like the mountain with the snow blowing of it is Rakaposhi. Nanga Parbat has nothing around it of similar elevation and the mountain off to the right of it looks like Diran....I am jealous of you and plan on going there soon :)
I'm afraid that at 4:14, that's not Nanga Parbat. There isn't a peak remotely close to it's size so those look like peaks of about 6500m or so. Nanga can be seen in the far distance at 1:21 though, with it's huge Rupal Face dropping SE on the right side.
Hello Sir, Its really pleasure to see such wonderful and real scenery with such a super dooper flying experience. I am also interested to see the approach charts of OPGT, OPSD, OPPS and OPRN. I hope you will not feel bad to guide me that how can i get these airports charts, i could not get from the internet same .
amazing. but idiots who are photographing with flash during the landing. its a plane not a car! let them focus. the aiport has no aids as far as i can see. its a landing strip.
