cannot believe I just beat the Pia bot. Got in front with a pawn and the bot played like a beginner in the endgame. Doesn't people do like Waitzkin and learn the endgame first.
This might be obvious and not really useful to you. But, I learned that Pia is a positional player. For any odds, as a 1200 ELO, my brain can only say focus on some tactics against her, to get her out of the pocket of easiness of advantage. Best of luck ❤
12:05 there is nothing wrong with Rc5 since after Bd4 Rd5 Bxb6 Bxb5, black cant take the pawn on a5 because white will play Bxd3 wins the bishop through discovered check so white is forced to take the bishop on b5 instead then Rxc5 the dark squared bishop is forced to move to c7 or d8 to not lose the pawn after Rc3
I don't bots can do that it isn't AI so the only way is to give an opening book and it isn't 3200 like Stockfish or Mittens. So the way it makes itself weaker is to pick the less good move in some situations. if it always picked the best move it would fare higher rated than 2500.

I was in a Rapid chess tournament in Stockholm this summer, where Pia Cramling played. She did not do perfectly. She lost to a 2060 rated guy. Although she did have some other good results.
Watched a video of pia winning against her bot so going to be a tough set of games, good luck to you both and my only real wish is for neither to be compleatly wipped out in every game.

You might want to sprinkle some Holy Water on the Chessboard before you take on the REAI Pia. That will mess up her sorcery. Also, it will nullify the Love Potion Anna gave you. Good luck on your tournament.
Just won over the Pia bot, but with two retakes of moves lol. I actually lost ones in real life some 40 years ago too! Think you have a better chans than me in real life Levy, but it will be hard!
on pia i think you can beat her in short time control. She such a cerebral chess player that when time start getting short and she has no time to really think she tend to make errors compare when you let her be able to think her move, so in bullets type of game where you need to make fast judgement i think gotham is the better player.
