I have to always ask you my questions about Weber cause you know your stuff. I have a Weber kettle and enjoy cooking on it. I have been looking to have room to use the whole top grate. If it were you would you buy a smokey mountain or try getting accessories to use the kettle? If you went with a wsm would a 18 be big enough for ribs and whole chickens and a turkey? As always I appreciate your help
Love these questions! 😎 Ok, right off the bat I would not buy an 18” WSM because I’ve had one and it was never big enough for me. Now I would recommend anyone who has already experienced the 22 Weber Kettle to also invest in a 22 WSM with a Hunsaker Hanger. With that setup, the sky’s the limit! BUT……….still buy accessories for your 22!!! Like the Aura Kettle Zone Attachment so you can use the whole top grate and the Titan Santa Maria Attachment so you practice with live fire cooking.
