Thanks so much for this detailed explanation. I finally replaced the o-ring. The service center proprosed the replacement for 15USD. So I brought the unrepaired Krups to replace myself. Still need to buy the specific o-ring at 5usd. Universal o-ring didn’t work out.
Hi Adrian, thanks a lot for the video. My Piccolo XS suddenly stoped to switch on. Thank's to your tutorial I opened the machine and located the problem within minutes) It was melted cable which was the problem. 5 minutes et voilà
Thank you for the video : it was helpful. However it is nearly impossible to dismantle this machine without breaking some (many !) clips points. Mine had a problem of a nearly cut wire (L connector on the electronic board) and/or the board was too low and did not detect the cartridge tray anymore. Before the fix it was working randomly because of the vibrations of the pump it was stoping any now and then... Hope it may help someone in turn !
Adrian, thankyou very much for this video, what a pain in the a**e to get those clips underneath while attempting to open the sides...how many times either one or the other, or all clip back into place, I needed 4 extra pairs of hands 🤣🤣!
Hello Adrian. I have strange issue with Piccolo XS. When capsule holder is inserted, it takes many reinsert in order to get green light on. For example: after first insert, red light blinks only couple of times. Than I repeat reinsert for many times and finally green light appear. When a turn it on (to make a coffe), it runs for few seconds only and than it shuts off (no light, stop working). When I reinsert again, green light is on immidiately and again it runs only for few seconds. Pump is working ok, heater is working ok. This is not happening when I run cold water (there is no shut down after few seconds when I finally manage to get green light on). Any idea what might be an issue? PCB board may be?
Thank you very much for the video as I was able to disassemble the machine much easier. But I have a question: the machine makes noise when it draws water but it doesn't release any water, could it be a problem with the pump?
I imagine that you have either repaired this, or thrown away...but I had the same issue today...disaster, no morning coffee. The machine makes a very weak noise, as if the pump is failing, and no water is emitted! Simply use the fine pin that sits under the water tank, and push it into the fine pipe that pierces the capsule, it seems that eventually this will block because it sits inside the capsule as it mixes sticky substances like chocolate and coffee. As soon as I had done this, water flows, and everything sounds as it did before. Hopefully this will save others from opening the machine, or simply replacing the machine. 👍👍
@@Omegajet223 That worked for me too - the start of the video alerted me to the descaler pin which cured my problem and I don't need to open it up (second hand with no instructions!)
hey , does it go well with reusable stainlee steel capsules? i want to buy the machine only for reusable capsules, Original capsules or matching capsules are not profitable, not varied, and also the whole matter of the synthetic milk in the capsule which is supposed to be a portion of milk for an espresso portion, instead of regular normal milk, it really does not seem good to me. thanks a lot in advance
