"Pick of the Day" - 1965 Fender Stratocaster and 1966 Super Reverb 

I appreciate the updated format, in so much as that there is a description of the guitar and then more than half is the talented Aaron Hebert demonstrating what it sounds like. …Now I just need to double up on my practicing!

Another fantastic stratocaster, but again we only know this due to Aaron's brilliant performance of a perfect choice of things to play for this guitar. Love it.

This type of cleanish tone is great for many things, but as far as bluesy lead lines go, it wouldn’t hurt to use a dirt pedal sometimes. Even SRV did it. You wouldn’t be banned from cork sniffers heaven.

These types of videos are interesting. I look at this guitar, and its age and wear, and i think it's beautiful. And knowing it's from 1965, and has a commensurate value... and the guitar has (to quote a Woody Allen script) "an otherness." But then i wonder if it's really any better of an instrument than a current Road Worn Strat. Put them both in a room and shoot them out, and i wonder which would sound and play better? And then even if the current MIM guitar emerged on top, value/cost excepted, how many of us would still want the '65? If we're here watching this video, it's probably all of us. There's a lot of psychology involved in this stuff. // Good lord-i only just now reached the *price* portion of the video. Holy macadocious.

Amazing that RU-vid runs ads on what is extensibly, an ad ... and a very good one, at that.

In my opinion, nothing even comes close to sounding as good as a great Strat.

I own one, same color n its serial is 106000 later than this one. All original but has an original darker yellow color than this one. All original thru the case, but I think it is refretted too. Nice to see his brother. Tnx for the video.
