"Pick of the Day" - 1958 Fender Stratocaster and 1966 Super Reverb

We've got a bunch of awesome vintage Stratocasters in the shop right now, and this one is from 1958! It comes to us from none other than John Osborne (of the band Brothers Osborne), and it has been loved and played out at countless shows, as it sounds and feels amazing! Jay has all the details for you before handing things off to Aaron Hiebert for a demo through a 1966 Fender Super Reverb, a perfect match.

Thanks Aaron!! Appreciate that man! A few that come to mind are the 59 Fiesta Red I played a few years back, the 59 Blonde Hardtail I just played, and funny enough, three 65 Strats! A mint 65 that sounded insane through a Deluxe Reverb, a 65 LPB and a 65 olympic white Strat that should be out this week! The 57 Mary Kaye was pretty cool as well. So many amazing Strats!! Cheers!

Must be a hard decision with all the ones that have passed through your hands. The '59 Hardtail from Antone's quickly became my favorite being a huge SRV fan! Thanks again for all your killer demos!

A brilliant sounding stratocaster, that fully lives up to it's vintage status. But any guitar is only as good as the guy playing it, and it doesn't get better than this guy.

Guitar, amp and player - great sounds/tone. Not such a fan of preceding laney vids (harsher tone) but the warmth is back with this fender pairing.

Orange rust on the bridge screws? That is not vibey. It is neglect. I would clean that guitar. The finger grease on the fretboard is gross. But a bad ass guitar it is. And I always love having coffee to that player.
