Picked Up some more totes and a quick inventory of the wood yard. Fall is coming fast and wood orders are starting to pick up. Beautiful colors are starting to show here in the Catskill Mnt. upstate NY.

Hi Jeff and Patti, you guys have lots of logs to process. I noticed you have mulch on the ground by your logs. I started a small wood yard and would like to use mulch so your not in mud when it rains. However I am wondering by covering with mulch will the moisture make it so soft you’ll end up in mud anyway. I know rock is best but expensive. You two take care and see you at PB.
We love the mulch around the splitter. Two reason one makes a soft ground to walk on and another is when u are bucking up logs u don’t have to worry about dulling the chain in dirt.
