A clerk at a Wedding dress shop told me that in her experience ( sometimes) the dress is not the problem. Its the whole concept of being married. Once they commit to the dress and they have not in THEIR mind fully conceptualized being married, they begin to get overwhelmed, anxious, etc. But, sadly the clerk could never say that to the potential Bride.

This was really good to hear. @@colorcutie97 oh, you're so welcome!! And there's so many little things that really make the dress "yours" in alterations. That "OH WOW OMG OMG 😭😭😭😭😭😭" moment is ridiculous. I tried on three dresses and picked the second one, because I felt pretty in it, I liked the material, the line, the feeling of it. That was my first ever appointment and I was a first time bride. I said to the consultant that okay, this is it, I found my dress - within 15 minutes. And without a huge ass drama, crying, screaming, I picked my dress, paid for it, and called it a day. Wedding is just a day, marriage what matters the most.

It's not that big of a deal! Some people just don't get that feeling and as long as you're happy with the dress and the way you look, just get it. And yes I realize these are very expensive but it doesn't matter. I chose not to spend that much money on something I'd wear one freaking time. Im more worried about other stuff. Besides which, the selection was limited & I didn’t need someone to say they didn’t like my Choice of dress. Better to just let them see it on my wedding day. I think it is a combination of confusion and pickiness.

Melissa annoyed my nerves. Lol. Why do brides get so caught up in dress shopping? I hope same effort went in to maintaining the marriage

I hate the money bashing in the comments. When they can afford to pay thousands of dollars for a dress, then let them. Yes, there are beautiful dresses much cheaper, but it is not your money

The one dress that she liked the shape of was absolutely gorgeous. I think that one was perfect for her, since I think I remember she wanted something a little unexpected. And the bodice was plainer than the one she chose, which is what she said she was looking for. It appears that her description of what she wanted didn't match what she liked.

Omg Can everyone in the comments stop bragging about how little they bought their wedding dress for ? Get a life. It’s literally the most special day of your life. Stop shaming these women for paying a lot, why are you even watching this show ?
