Great video, very nice lock. Cool design of the nose that lock the door ( at 7:40 ), if all manufacturer adopt this two part component it would make gutting bit easier than usual fighting with the lock-cam.

It seems that best way to tension this would be to have key shaped metal with a hole in the middle. As you can apply the torque to front of the lock, the tensioning tool parts going into the lock only needs to touch the front of the core. The hole in the middle should be big enough to easily manipulate the moving parts and as they do not have any false gates, it should be pretty easy to open once you have the tensioning tool made. What's the thickness of the housing at the sidebar grooves? It looks like the metal is pretty thin there so perhaps this lock is vulnerable to attack with simply enough torque to split the housing.
+no-trick-pony_lockpicking Yes, strange. Would be easy to add false gates. But maybe security is just good enough anyhow. The springs are attached to the "pins" left and right and lay in a groove. I don't get it; the current owner ASSA ABLOY also has the Protec 2 (officially written with roman numeral II) which can be combined with CLIQ electronical stuff. This core is obviously inferior to Protec 2 so why bother manufacturing it at all if you're the owner of both companies?
What a shame! How could you drill out these pins and damage such a rare and expensive lock? It's completely mangled, even on the front. You could have just punched them out without any damage...
@@Potti314 sure it is, just doesn't occur to me why you would destroy a 180€ lock like this. It kind of makes me uncomfortable hahaha Anyway, sure do whatever you want with it...
