Picking a Dog Dewormer at PetCo 

I just rescued a puppy and he's 8 weeks old and I just noticed a white worm in his poop what should I do? He doesn't have vaccines

Good info. Can you use a dewormer prophylactically? I’ve always been afraid to do it without a diagnosis by our vet. But their markup on meds is a bit wild - dewormer for two dogs + Doxycycline for one dog = $300. How often would you deworm prophylactically? One of my guys thinks poop is a delicacy 🤢

I'm still confused. So if I give my dog ivermectin it will take care of tapeworms , hook and round worms , and whip worms ?
