How the writers treat Kenzie really makes me upset. I thought after watching the first three episodes where she actually had a screen presence that Kenzie was gonna have a big part this season. But after the first 3 episodes she’s had no storyline or development or lines really except that she’s doing a book report 😐. Honestly we should start #justiceforkenzie alongside #winniedeservesbetter

I agree with all the decisions except season one. Neither Chloë or Stephanie should be the alternate, it should be Tiffany. Apart from being an E - Girl, there really wasn’t much to her. She was showcased as a hip hop dancer who could do basic contemporary like a turning sequence but then very minimal technique. She lacked tricks and Acro too, whereas both Stephanie and Chloe can do Aerials and back handsprings which can bring something too the team. Tiffany brought nothing to be honest. She was literally a back up dancer. Also, even though Tiffany was always at the studio, she wasn’t very ‘present’ like she’d be more involved in the drama and is also unloyal (not to the studio but people in general).

If Noah was an alternate then The Next Step would’ve lost the blindfolded round...

I have a love hate relationship with this show. Season 4 was absolutely terrible, it was a hot mess. Then the first half of season 5 was just repairing the mess season 4 had caused. But they also starting reusing themes and ideas, which kind of annoys me because it’s really obvious when you watch it. I feel like Richelle deserved so much more, and I’m praying she gets the nations solo (and wins) because my heart breaks everytime, and I know she’s not got many more seasons before she leaves. But I liked how season 6 started, with miss Angela and her team. I felt like we got some backstory for the characters unlike in the past when new dancers turn up out of nowhere. But also I hate how so many characters disappear with no story line, like Cassie, Lola and so many more. Ok rant over.

I think in season 3, the alternate should have been Stephanie

I feel like a good story line for Kenzie is to kinda be a combo of Noah and Amanda’s story lines like she never really felt like she belonged on the team and no ones really payed attention to her so she seeks help from other dancers so she can become more well rounded as a dancer and member of tns or like when Michelle or Emily need help Kenzie will step up and help and Emily and Michele won’t over look her.

I can’t wait for the next episode because I want to see what happens to piper or fin

Fun fact. The Next Step would never had won Internationals or Nationals without Amanda. She saved the Next Step.

This was such a good video! Some video ideas are your top 10 favourite episodes or top 10 favourite solos. Here are my opinions: Season 1 - Tiffany and Stephanie Tiffany could literally only do hip hop and she didn't have much technique at all. Stephanie didn't have much versatility either. She wasn't the best dancer and she was very focused on her triple-threat dream. Season 2 - Hunter Hunter had just joined the team and he only did hip hop and breakdancing. Sure, his moves were cool but he didn't have any technique and he started a lot of drama. Season 3 - Max and Michelle Max had literally no storyline at all and I don't even know if he cared about A-Troupe. Sure, he was a great dancer but you could have taken him off the team and I don't think they would have suffered. Michelle was very distracted by her parents' divorce. I'm not hating on her! She dealt with so much but she just couldn't be trusted to stay focused. Season 4 - Sloane and Latroy Sloane and Latroy had just joined A-Troupe and they could only do hip hop. They weren't very focused on improving their dancing either. Sloane just did some technique in her trio audition with Piper and Noah, and then she was back to square one, thinking she sucked. Latroy just had the mindset of "Who cares if I can't do contemporary?" and sure he did learn some stuff from Amy, but after that, I didn't see him put that into his dancing at all. Plus he'd been away for a while with his dad. I completely disagree with Riley about picking Cassie, because she's really dedicated and willing to help the team. Plus she's a versatile dancer. Latroy just doesn't care. Season 5 - Josh and Kingston I really don't think Josh had taken that many dance classes. His flips are good but his turns are very wobbly, his jumps are lazy and his technique is very poor. He didn't seem that set on improving and he also didn't seem focused about the team either. Kingston had literally just started dance classes and sure he had improved a lot, but he'd taken much fewer classes than Ozzy. However, you could pick either of them and I wouldn't disagree. Season 6 - Finn and Kenzie Finn couldn't do much more than hip hop and he had just joined the team. Also, I don't know if it's just me but he can be really irritatingly goofy and I didn't see him focused on the team that much. Kenzie is a great acro dancer but I haven't seen that much technique from her plus she's new. I'm a bit disappointed with what she got on the show. Season 7 - Kenzie (A-Troupe), Jude and Winnie (B-Troupe) For this season I chose two groups of alternates, one from A-Troupe and one from B-Troupe. The one from A-Troupe is Kenzie. I just feel like she hasn't improved at all from Season 6, and I would actually go as far to say that she's regressing. If you watch her back handsprings in the "Tell the Story" dance, you can see that she slipped. The ones from B-Troupe are Pressley and Winnie. This was hard to pick because there were a lot of talented dancers at the auditions, and I was actually going to pick Marcus or Jude. However, Marcus is brand new to the studio and Jude, even though she's really good, won't be able to learn choreo due to her dyslexia. I'm not saying she's bad! It's not her fault at all, but I think she still needs some time to work out how she's going to manage her issues. I don't think she's ready to be thrown straight into A-Troupe. Those are all my thoughts. If you disagree, that's fine. It's just my opinion and it's pretty subjective. Can't wait for your next video Alishea! 💖💖

Here are my opinions: Season 1: I think for this season it should be Stephanie or Tiffany Stephanie for the same reason you said and Tiffany simply because I honestly don’t think her dancing was on the level of the others Season 2: for season 2 I think the alternate should have been hunter because everyone else was just better but I think everyone was a good dancer in season 2 and the fact that there were no alternates made me very happy. Season 3: Michelle is a definite decision which hurts me to admit because I love Michelle but she was just not in the right mindset. This is where I disagree with you. I think Ciara would have been the alternate. I think this for pretty much the same reasons you said about max I just think max is a better dancer. Season 4: I think Latroy should have been the alternate. He and Sloan were both non-rounded dancers but latroy was just less dedicated. Season 5: I think the alternate should have been Ozzy as he was a new member, not as good a dancer and just not ready. And if we are talking about being deserving he was just not. Richelle auditions for a-troup at least 5 times before she got on and she was clearly a better dancer than ozzy but he just gets a free pass from j to a which is unfair Season 6: No alternate but if I had to pick I would say Finn he was just not as good Season 7: if I had to pick from the people that audition I would have picked Heath and Izzy. But if I’m picking from the team I would say Henry he is just not as focused and at the Beginning of the season we saw he sort of regressed in learning choreography Just my opinions 💕

If Emily wasn’t dance captain she would be the alternate in my opinion....

For season 3 they needed Noah bc he was the one who did the blindfolded dance and won it for them at internationals.

I agree with pretty much everything you said here! I’ve never remembered an alternate choice not being controversial... 😂 The way you picked it for S1 made a lot of sense - especially if they’d acknowledged early on that you could have as many as twelve dancers, and if Daniel never got injured, it does seem like it would have been Chloe. In S2, Daniel and Amanda were technically the alternates even though Amanda was the only one to step in for someone else, but if they’d stayed on the team, I kind of agreed with Hunter, though it depends whether they would have done the small group with him in or the jazz trio with Amanda - and because there would have been two, I kind of think the other one would have been Thalia, for the same reasons you thought Hunter - but again, depends which small group they did :) The idea of Noah being the other alternate in S3 made perfect sense to me and would have really worked - I know they made Michelle an alternate that season as a way of skirting round Victoria’s injury, and they did a good job, but I was always a bit incensed about what happened to Amanda in S3, and Noah being the alternate would have been a great accessory to the way his character was developing :) I - er - have no comments about S4. I agree completely, as good as LaTroy is - unfortunately it always seemed a bit like they made Cassie the alternate so she could have something that made her more relevant for the later episodes... and if Sloane was an alternate as well as or instead of LaTroy, that would have given her selection as the soloist even more impact Oh, and I was glad when you picked two options for S5 because there were twelve dancers on the team, so there would have been two alternates instead of one :D and Josh and Ozzy seemed like the right choices there - I can’t help wondering if Zara would have been an option, but she was picked for a significant audition, so maybe not... I don’t have anything else to say really - I agree with just about everything, and I hope Kenzie’s going to be fleshed out before the end of S7, because they kind of teased it earlier on in the season :D So this comment still dragged on for miles... but it’s not the worst I’ve done, so I’ll focus on that 😂

Writer halfway through season 4: Oh damn Cassie doesn’t have a plot. Other writer: No worries, we can just make her an alternate for no reason whatsoever! Writer: Oh yes, despite the fact Noah and LaTroy have been in barely any rehearsals.

In season 3 the alternate should have been Stephanie. She had just joined the team and they picked Amanda right after she joined and the spot open should have been the alternate anyway.

Season 1: Didn't have a space for alternate. Season 2: I totally agree with Hunter being alternate but we wouldn't have had the 'Never Get Lost' dance. 👏🏻 So... Idk Season 3: Kind of agree with Amanda being alternate but Miss Kate shouldn't have said "We need the strongest dancers" she should have said "You have been away for a while and haven't been here to learn the dances, I'm sorry" because that hurt Amanda's feelings. Season 4: Definitely think that Cassie was the wrong choice and she definitely should have picked LaTroy. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Season 5: I think either Josh or Zara should have been the alternate because Zara had to chose between math and dance and she considered it when the answer straight away should be dance. Or Josh because he's not actually that skilled. Season 6: Was too complicated and didn't end it having a spot left so there couldn't have been an alternate for that season. Season 7: It's not finished yet so I'm not picking. ✌🏻

Loved your vid like always... Can you do your ideal dance captains for each seasons including S7 pls! And I think Tiffany should’ve been the alternate in S1 because Stephanie and chloe have a wider variety of movements than her such as Ariels, back hand springs and consistent turns. However, Tiffany was only showcased in drama and never had her chance to shine. She also can’t transition in contemporary very well and rushes all the group dances way too much which makes her stand out not for a good reason. Obviously, this is my opinion so don’t take it personally.

What about that first internationals dance with the small group had that cool lift with Max and Riley and Eldon was too busy turning to be in that dance! Max may not have had a loud and boisterous personality but his power was definitely an asset to A-troupe.

I was thinking that you can compare dances that use the same song. For instance, Giselle, Riley, and Amanda all danced to "The War is Over" at one point in the series.

Here are my alternates season 1: Stephanie season 2: hunter season 3: Noah and Amanda season 4: Sloane season 5: josh season 6: ozzy season 7: I would kick heath and cleo off and the new alternate would be kenzie but replacing kenzie I would put Presley on the team

What really confused me was when cassie was alternate yet in the final routine amanda got pulled fdom the dance. It really confused me and it was quite a pointless decision

My opinions for who should be the alternate in each season Season 1 Stephanie or Tiffany Season 2 defo Hunter Season 3 Stephanie or Noah Season 4 Defo LaTroy Season 6 Hard decision but I think Finn or Kenzie

I also think that in season three Thalia could have been an alternate and when they found out they needed a dancer who could speak different languages Kate/Gisele could have a convocation with her and said would you be ok to help the team and like do the dance for us!!

Tbh in season 2 I would have chosen Thalia to be alternate just cause she wasn’t an incredible dancer and everyone else could do what she did and plus she was new so I think she would have been perfect for the alternate spot

i agree with everything except your choice to make hunter the alternate in s2, i think his style was really unique and brought something really special to the team. Even though, he caused drama, technically that was mainly Michelle's fault as hunter didnt know she had a boyfriend and really just wanted his gf back. Instead of hunter i would personal;y have chosen either chloe or thalia. Chloe was deciding whether to join a ballet company and she had her job as well. Although she got better, you could tell ballet was her strong suit, not contemporary. Thalia, overall i didnt feel was that great of a dancer and was really nothing special.

Season 1: Stephanie (because she didn't pay attention to atroupe that much) Season 2: West and Hunter (because Michelle and Emily were co-captains, Eldon was soloist, Riley and James had duet, Amanda Giselle Thalia had small group, comparing west to rest of atroupe: Chloe Daniel Hunter were more engaged I mean they tried to get duet and also small group while west only duet and he didn't finish flip then so yeah, second alternate would be Hunter because semifinal routine was lirical one and it's more Chloe/Daniel dance style) Season 3: Michelle (you know why) and Stephanie (just because she was the newest member of atroupe and it would be reasonable cause their full group routines were created for 5 boys and 5 girls so alternate had to be a girl) Season 4: latroy and sloane (kind of obvious) Season 5: Josh(...) and Kingston(he didn't have any experience) Season 6: It will be shock but I would choose Piper (she had a lot of personal issues about her confidence during this season and I think Davis should be in contemporary routine instead of her) Season 7: Cleo and unfortunately Kenzie (I feel like I haven't seen any improvement during kenzie dancing so far in this season in contrast to the rest: Finn Ozzy Piper Lily Heath they all are better than previous year, and I would love to see the same from Kenzie pls)

Based off who is on A-troupe in season 7 I think Ozzy because I feel he can get very distracted and kenzie is commuted just personal opinion!

S4: I think latroy or sloane because they were new and could only do hip hop, which normally all dancers would learn to do contemporary. S5: I think Ozzy because he was straight from j-troupe and wasn't at the same level as the other dancers S6: I think in season 6 the alternate should have been finn because he didn't really do much and he wasn't as good as the others. If Michelle didnt have the injury irl I dont think she would deserve to be an alternate I think Stephanie should of been for season 3 cuz she could barely keep up much and she joined half way and if Amanda didnt have an injury irl I think Noah should of replaced her cuz he was new and he also missed a lot of rehearsals my opinion btw

Season 1: Tiffany, she’s not at the level as the other dancers Season 2: Michelle, her mental state wasn’t the best and she just needed a break but an amazing alternative Season 3: Max, he wasn’t relevant he never showed off his talents, i think it should be max Season 4: Sloane, she couldn’t dance nearly as good as everyone else. I agree with Latroy but he brought more to the table. Season 5: Zara, I don’t know I just feel like she wasn’t at the same level as everyone else and she had other commitments such as her Maths Competitions. Season 6: Davis, I personally think that it was a big mistake her coming, Jaquie was a good dancer and it was a risk to throw her off, Davis also took a lot of control and I think she would be a perfect alternative. Season 7:Heath, he is an immaculate dancer but something seemed off with him being a full fledged member of A-Troupe.
