Noah was the best in my opinion. He never treated anyone like they were more superior than the other, and he showed Ozzy that he is worthy of an a troupe dancer, and helped piper a lot deal with her struggles like when Elliot was manipulating her and he helped her get her aerial

Also to add for reasons as to Skylar being a good dance captain - She noticed that Noah wasn't performing to the best of his ability (due to his recovery from the operation) so she helps him overcome his mentality by making him punch cabbages. - She also noticed Piper, Sloane and Cassie being stressed and under pressured so she uses the tips from the dance captain diary and challenged the girls to step out of their comfort zone to help them relax a bit more. I honestly think she did a great job despite not being the best character or memorable.

I think Noah and Emily and Michelle together we're the best dance captains, they thought about everyone and never had favourites and had the teams full respect

I just realized how alike Michelle and Emily’s relationship is to Richelle and Summer’s relationship Summer- Michelle Richelle- Emily Maybe summer and richelle could be good friends like Emily and Michelle

I think Noah is the best dance captain because he thought about other dancers and the best for the team I liked how he was compassionate yet determined.

I personally think Michelle should have been on the top tier a long with Emily because back at the start of season 1, Emily wasn't at her best when choreographing or just in general when it came to dance. Later on with Michelle taking over she was including people's ideas but when the team was arguing she didn't step in unlike Emily did. I agree with your decision with Emily being up there but Michelle should have been to because they both enabled eachothers strengths. Thats just my opinion.

I would definitely agree with Emily for top captain as no matter what she did wrong it was always from a sense of logic and for the greater good even morally it didn't stand up, the cares so much and often gets sidetracked by own values that she sometimes forgets the glue that holds the simple things together.

You should do a video on the timeline as there have been many inconsistencies as for example: it is canon that every dance season is four months which would make no sense as at least once a season they say it's a new year. Also Noah turns 18 in season 6 meaning he was 15-16 in seasons 1-3. Emily goes to Business school after she leaves but comes back in season 5 which is strange as she would have only been there for a year. You could also go over the timeline before the show happens

Noah is definitely the best dance captain overall. He literally had the perfect amount of everything. He showed authority but was also compassionate. He knew what was and did what was best for the team

In my opinion Noah, was one of the best dance captains, cause he was always fair. And he had nearly 3 seasons, he didn't want to jump into things. He also was never jealous. And he did stay on A troup for a long time. But that is just my opinion. I also definitely agree about Emily being in best because she was one of the BEST and anyone from TNS would know Emily. And she did grow from all the seasons and after she was nice to everyone and fair in season 1. She was really good! Also Emily is a LEGEND at TNS! She was lets just say not the best dance caption at the start, but with Michelle's helps she became a really good one. And in season 2 she proved she was worthy to the team. Bye thinking of a plan with Riley, to show the truth. And after she was disappointed at Riley in season 3 she picked a really good dancer to compete in the competition (Richelle) and that is what a good leader would do. And then in season 4 she came just when Riley needed her, helped her pick the best dance caption in that season for the team. And though I am guessing Emily did want Richelle to win, she knew her sister would rather a fair dance caption. And that is why she did a competition not in style of dance, but in knowledge and persuasion. Then in season 5 she became the TNS East studio head! Then a little bit of old Emily did come back, but when they merged, she automatically went back to 'good' Emily. Then in season 6 with Michelle's help, she became one of the best studio heads TNS had ever seen. She became more fair again more helpful again, and connected with the dancers again and most of all BELIEVED in them. And with that Piper was able to do the ariel and win Regionals. Now so far in season 7 she is taking Michelle's advice and giving people a second chance. But also keeping the studio in place for what we thought was NATIONALS. Hopefully it is later on. She keeps on track with the rules, and critiques. And that is what a good studio head needs. In my opinion her and Mrs Kate were the best studio heads Sorry for such a long amount of text

I think that what we saw with Emily being dance captain is that you don't need to be the best dancer to be dance captain you just need leadership

Piper also cared for her team and organised the 12 hour dance scholarship by herself and she was the one that united the East and West team.

I'M FIRST!!! Great video. I actually fully and completely agree with your tier list and I wouldn't make any changes. I'll say my opinions on every person. Warning: Spoilers for people who haven't seen Season 7. Emily - She has great decision-making skills and would do anything for the team. I don't think any dance captain could be as brave as she was in Season 2 when she took down Amanda. Michelle - She cares about the team and she listens to everyone, but sometimes she's not authoritative enough. Noah - He's great at leading the team. He cares about everyone, and he always does what's best. Skylar - She's great at fixing problems and motivating the team (for example, when she helped Piper, Sloane and Cassie with their fears), but I didn't think she was great enough to be put in best. Richelle - She's great at keeping the team in order but didn't care about the dancers' feelings enough. A mix of her and Piper would be better, in my opinion. Piper - She cares about the team and has good ideas (merging TNS East and TNS West and the dance-a-thon are some examples) but wasn't that decisive or strong, meaning I don't think she could tell off her dancers if they're messing around. Giselle - She cared about the team and she was brave when making decisions (when she took Riley's place at Internationals) but she didn't do anything that memorable. She was just okay. Summer - She cares about the team and she'll always do what she thinks is best. Same with Emily, I don't think anyone could do what she did in Season 7 Episode 11 when she said that the team should go to Dancemania and forget about her. However sometimes, she isn't authoritative enough (like Michelle), and she cares too much about people's feelings (like Piper). Lily - She doesn't care about the dancers or her feelings, and she pretty much just looks out for herself. However, I think she could lead the team to victory if she was a little nicer. I think she's just trying to make her mum happy and she's been influenced by her a lot. It's not all her fault. Btw Alishea, what happened to your first couple of videos (TNS tag, best dancers, etc)? Have you deleted them? Don't feel ashamed if you have. I cringe at my old videos too. See you on Wednesday! 💖💖

Yeah honestly skylar is underrated as a dance captain and honestly when it comes to great dance captains she comes up first because she was a lot like Emily where she got the job done but did not come with most of the other bad traits Emily had.

Such A Good Video ! So Happy That I Have Seen All Season 7A Now So I Can Watch Your Videos In Full. I Think That Skylar Should Have Been In Terrible Or At Least Bad Because :- She Was Only Elected Because Everybody Else Going For It Was Acting Really Weird And Out Of Character.- She Lost The Dance Captain Diary Which Was Passed Down From Dance Captain To Dance Captain For Generations !- She Didn't Get Dance Captain In Season 5 And She Just Left In A Rage Of Anger- She Tried To Steal Jacquie From The Next Step Just Because She Is A Good Dancer- And When She Came Back She Was Like I Have No Good Memories Of This Place Which Is So Dumb Because She Was Dance Captain !

Totally agree with All your opinions other than Michelle should of been in the best because she was the one who basically saved them at regionals with her choreography and inclusive personality also she was the one to persuade James's mum that he should stay at the studio however only study for two weeks then return if he gets his grades up

Personally I don't think Skylar acted like herself in season 4. I think if her character had developed in a believable way she wouldn't have been such an amazing contestant in the dance captain contest. I find it hard to believe that she went from being kind of forgetable in season 3 to perfect dance captain in season 4. Also her character changed completely again in season 5. It seems like the whole dance captain contest was rigged and non of the characters acted like themselves (just to make the audience believe Skylar was the best choice for dance captain). Like before the contest begun I thought Richelle would be a great dance captain but then out of no where Richelle and Amy started acting like jokes and Skylar suddenly became perfect.

I think that Giselle didn't get enough time to think on every idea from the dancers and was a little too stressed. Like the time I don't remember it clearly but she was in a group with I think Chloe and max .and they saying it should be this or that way and Michelle had to help

When you said that Piper and Richelle would be very good co-captains, i was like: I have been saying that for 2 seasons. When the episode of TNS coming back together as one came, i thought wow, Richelle and Piper should stay co-captains, because it is the best situation for winning Regionals. And when Noah got chosen as Dance captain, because he was on both teams, i thought that that was unfair, because Piper was on both teams and Amy was too, and both already had or tried to get an authorative role at TNS West. If the reasoning was, he is the most senior dancer and he has shown the most authority, i would have been happier with Noah as Dance Captain in Season 5. I needed to wait until season 6 to like Noah as Dance Captain. For season 7 (Spoiler alert) I hope Richelle will become Dance Captain after the episodes we already got. But i do hope we see Piper as a co-captain or assistant captain in the coming episodes, because they will be a great team. They both have some kind of legacy. The person that never got Dance Captaincy and when she got it, it was taken by her best friend, and the sister of James. Also for Summer, I think she could be a better Dance Captain if she was a co-captain with Richelle, because it would've been a reversed Michelle and Emily situation. I do hope that Summer starts a Regionals Team for TNS, and becomes the Dance Captain of that team. Also in the White Walls trailer it is implied Emily will leave too, or to the very extent will leave after Dancemania, what do you think about that?

i dont rlly agree w summer being an average dance captian bc she didnt rlly put the team but her friends first like how she broke the law in shuttting the power to a building and would go to juvenile detention for a long time and never was a true dance captian. also we didnt waatch her grow as a dancer from s6 onwards so far to s7 but i hope she does

For me, Giselle should've been in good, from season 1 she was very well written and realistic, and when she got her chance as dance captain she did everything right and was so compassionate and the type of person you'd want to be friends with

Totally agree with you about Giselle. It might actually have been more interesting if Shantel had become DC. Giselle as DC was the Queen of 'Blah' in the Kingdom of 'Blahdom'. In many ways, she is a great example of how some teams are not in need of a captain because there are enough leaders spread throughout the team. I don't recall her making a single far reaching decision or really providing any direction. It wasn't due to her that James and Riley won the international finals dance off ! Emily was an infinitely better DC than Giselle. And yet, she was the internationals winning captain ! Go figure. Pound for pound, I think Skylar was one of the best for the short period that she was DC. She was another team player and she had the advantage of a number of newcomers on the team, as well as someone like Michelle who was always going to be supportive having turned down the role herself. I agree with you that Skylar was kind of aloof from the rest of the team but I also feel she was putting that behind her when she got the job. I have mixed feelings about Skylar. Sometimes, I thought she was great as a character and other times, I thought she was pretty lame {as a character in the show, not as an actress in the show} and selfish. But I felt she did a good job as DC considering all of the Noah injury/Alfie~Riley~Piper~James/Sloane~LaTroy/Gemini stuff that was flying about. One area where she fell short though, was in terms of motivating the entire team in competition though arguably, Giselle didn't do that either.

My favourite dance captain was Piper season 5 by far.

Got to agree with you about Piper and Richelle. If there ever was a situation crying out for co~captaincy, it may have been with those two. They remind me of an old episode of "Star Trek" when the ship's captain gets split in two and the two sides of his personality are shown to be fairly useless without the other. The mean, strong side has the decisiveness of command, the compassionate side inspires the loyalty that the crew needs to function. That's Piper and Richelle. Richelle on her own was a terrible captain, Emily reincarnated, all out for herself. Mind you, the difference was that Richelle had the moves to back up the megalomania ! Piper was a treasure but as you pointed out, didn't at that point really have what it took to face down an Elliot or for that matter, a Richelle. Noah, unlike anyone outside of Emily in season 1, had all the cards stacked in his favour. He literally was the senior member and unlike Michelle or Skylar, didn't have to earn the respect of anyone. But his acceding the captaincy to Lily was one of those decisions that showed a serious achilles heel, particularly given his standing in the team at the time and the fact that even Miss Angela acknowledged that Lily couldn't just waltz in and expect to be DC. That prevents me from giving him a 'best' though only by the hair of a bald man. As for Lily, like Amanda in S2, she doesn't really count. She was just the villain of the piece and neither were serious leaders of the team. They were just given the role. Neither had a chance of any impact !
