10 pounds is a steal (by US standards). I would grab them all!!!6 lupines and ranunculus, premium flowers!! Here you could easily get 25-30 dollars (more in a big city). Beautiful packaging too.
What a beautiful bunch of flowers for 10 pounds!!! And what a nice way to sell them. I would totally pick up one if I saw them in the box. I love your work, your farm and your animals. Can't wait to click on the new video, every time it appears. Greetings from Prague!
I’ve just started following you. I’m growing cut flowers this year for my daughter wedding in August. We have a farm in South Yorkshire (Penistone) it’s great to see you making another business from you farm. Good luck and I’ll keep watching.
Thanks to your earlier videos I have been going down the Korean Natural Farming rabbit hole. Harvest those thistle and make a Fermented Plant Juice with them! Get rid of a weed and make a fertiliser from them.
Hi Sarah! Thank you for sharing your amazing videos! Your bouquets are absolutely beautiful!! I'm a second year flower grower in PA, USA. So, I can relate so much with you! I love your honesty box idea and how people can also pay online... brilliant! I was just curious if you've ever had any problems with people not paying? Thanks again and I really enjoy watching you!! 🙂💐
Those Lupines! So beautiful! The bouquets are exquisite. A year later, but enjoying this video so very much. Thanks for sharing......a big hug from Massachusetts 🙂
I have just started watching your videos and I'm impressed, I too have the same style and I am starting to grow my own flowers, albeit I don't have a farm as lovely as yours. Keep them coming Sarah. (Please ignore my name and icon on here, somehow my son has hacked my RU-vid 🤣)
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing - really helpful. And also rather comforting to know im not the only one with hardly any flowers. And £10 is an amazing deal!!
Great video Sarah. Really enjoyed seeing seeing you put the bunches together in a fuss free way. That’s the bit I’m rubbish at. It was also lovely to hear you pop up on the Let’s Grow Girls podcast this week. It felt a bit like when you realise that two separate groups of friends know each other! Have a great week.
Finally got around to watching this video, gorgeous bouquets as always! I'm not a flower farmer, I just like watching your process, it's quite relaxing :) I'd snap up one of those bouquets if I lived closer to you! If ever you need inspiration to go outside your comfort zone with colour, Pinterest is great for colour 'mood boards'. Hope everyone has a great week
Brilliant video. I think people would pay more for them. I pay 30euro from my local flower farmer in Ireland for a similar size. She is always sold out. The smell of local grown flowers is beautiful and they are unique in comparison to imported flowers. 💕
I would love to see more videos about how you make boquettes & examples! We have many of the same flowers & I'm new and always looking for more ideas! Thanks for the great videos!
I'm also not a great fan of purple but it seems many people are. I sell bouquets through my gateside flower shed in New Zealand and the purple ones always sell out.
Yes you’re right. Sometimes I end up making random bunches when I have flowers to use up and the colours don’t necessarily match and I find them a bit chaotic but people love them and they always go first!!
Really look forward to seeing videos, it's so helpful, I'm literally just starting this year with cut flowers (based in North Derbyshire, so we've had the same bad weather) my ranunculus haven't even flowered yet! Those geums were just beautiful, hope you have a brilliant season this year
Hello Sarah, your flower bouquets are absolutely gorgeous. It is a shame that I live in Switzerland otherwise I definitely would be one of your best customers. I also love your furry friends, specially Hector in his pool enjoying his bath thoroughly. All my very best wishes, Susanne
Great video Sarah! I have had my honesty box for plants and cut flowers going for just over a year now, love stocking it with our 'real' garden flowers. 😍🌸
@@Snoel not sure if this question was for Sarah or not?... but i've got a little wifi motion sensor camera installed on a shed that overlooks my Plant stand and a sticker by my money box saying there is a camera installed. Only issue i had was when i advertised a free bunch of flowers with plant purchase...a couple of people took several bunches, should have advertised it as one per customer or something like that. :)
Hi Sarah, I’ve watched this video over several times. I have only sold my flowers in vases before this evening and I finally tried my hand at wrapped bouquets like yours. I even used tissue paper. I need more practice but I still loved the look. I just had a little last minute pop up sale and it went great! Customers were very complimentary of the wrapping🙂Thank you so much for the inspiration. Do you happen to know the size of your brown paper?
I am really enjoying your videos! I am in Wisconsin, USA and I am just getting started with growing cut flowers to sell. I am hoping to start up next season. I really appreciate the videos with all the great information and the stunning flowers!! I just ordered seeds today and now I know I have to add Geum and Lupine to my list!!
Absolutely brilliant video again, thanks for sharing how to wrap the flowers it was interesting to see. If I was you though I’d get a heavy duty sellotape dispenser I got one for wrapping Christmas presents and it makes life so much easier.😂
You have the most georgeous flowers! Also, your about the only person I can actually understand your language. Lol! I try to watch others from the UK but their slang is so bad I can't listen to them. But, anyhow, just saying hello from the United States!!
Thank you for sharing this, what beautiful bouquets you make!!! I am a new small time flower farmer with a small roadside stand. Last year I did just jars with arrangements, this year I'd really like to add hand tied bouquets like you do, I'm wondering if you have plastic bags or anything at your stand or people just pull the bouquet from the water and take it home with the stems exposed? That's what Id like to do, just wondering what others do?! Thanks for sharing your journey, I love your videos so much!!!
Hey Sarah! I enjoy seeing what you are picking and enjoy seeing what flowers and greenery you pair together in your bunches. Can I ask what variety is the Sweet William? I have seeds but are yet to grow them so curious what variety you are growing 😊
We use Venmo a lot here in US. Do you have that in UK? So easy and convenient to pay on the spot with your phone. I just bought a local flower farm bouquet for $35 US same size as yours. Love your videos! The flowers and the animals!👍🏻❤️
Sarah… they are totally gorgeous. I LOVE purple haha 💜 They are a bargain for £10, much nicer than supermarket flowers. Do you enjoy arranging flowers for your own home? Or prefer to just see them growing and for sale? Have a great weekend x
Beautiful bouquets!😍 Thank you for making this video of you preparing them! Do they usually sell out? During a more productive part of flower season, how many bunches do you put out per day?
@@bloomandgray 👍 Such fantastic value for dollar in those bouquets! 😍 Lucky customers! Hope you make more of this type of videos this summer. I really enjoy seing the beautiful flower combinations. 🥰💐
Do you ever feel completely overwhelmed in your flower farming? I have over 20 flower beds in my yard, plus a vegetable garden. This past September I got a greenhouse and over the winter, I bought way too many seeds. I had tons of ideas. Sell cut flowers, sell plant starts, sell tomato starts, etc etc etc. So needless to say this Spring, I am spending 12 hours a day working my butt off in the gardens. I probably won't even sell anything because you have to actually try to sell....lol. I have been so busy learning to grow in the greenhouse, learning soil blocking, starting thousands of seedlings that I haven't even taken the time to think about the selling part. This year I am just taking the time to learn all about flower farming. My goal is to make just enough money to support my gardening addiction. Hahahaha. So I guess I was wondering if you too ever get overwhelmed with all the garden chores?
Yes I get overwhelmed daily! But I write lists and work my way through them, and think of the most important jobs to do first. It’s such hard work but I feel like now I’m 5 seasons in and I’m getting on top of the routine and with the help of the weed membrane I’m finding it a little easier.
@@bloomandgray this will be my first time using weed membrane. I am only using it for the cut flower gardens. But that will definitely help. I also write lists upon lists upon lists. I can't go to bed until I get everything out on paper what needs to be done the following day. I am also changing some of my perennial flower beds to blooming bushes. Is flower farming your full-time job or do you have other jobs too?
