“Don’t you bite me you son of a bitch” “come here you bastard I love you” 😂😂😂 I can’t tell you how many times a day those exact words come out of my mouth. Haz with puppies …made my day!
Rare is an understatement and why I can’t get enough of his channel. If I lived in Canada, I’d ask if I could volunteer at Shield K9 just to have the opportunity to learn more and work with this great group of people and dogs.
For pups that don't know you or the environment your testing them in they are all good pups, Ive seen 6 month old pups run from those type of tests both GSD and BSD
Haz you are a very honest trainer and love your videos. In my humble opinion as a trainer these are the lower working quality litter I have seen in your videos. They appear more for family homes. Can’t wait to see your other litters. Amazing trainer amazing person
as an englishman in netherlands i just lost my 14 year old at 14 yrs super protection dog less than a week later i can wait no more so i pick up a mechelse herder runt pup the owhers say dont have the drive like her sister but away from the siblings and parents in just a few days she was a different dog with something to prove i tried see what she got i got untold holes in my hands bites on my legs push her away dont work she is lightning fast back with a hard bite she is 6,8 kilos and a bit underweight for her nearly 11 weeks old but she would put those dogs to shame and the trainer would have wounds the other side of her is a well adjusted personality and she is also drop dead georgeous looking mechelse herder or mechelaar is just the dutch name for the malinios
Beautiful Dogs! Incredible genetics & possibilities with pups from bloodlines like they do! Really like that first male, a cool name would be Breacher .. seems to fit his personality/drive & instinct
Sonic would be good name for the runt. He's feisty, fast and ready for action!! He will very catch up with extra food. Once he's been exposed to the rattle jug over a few months as a part of his training, he will probably be fine.
I purchased 2 GSD’s who were imported. Provided one to my brother. Each have really high drives. I kept the runt and he is now 20 lbs heavier and 4 “ taller in the withers than the one my brother has. We received them at 14 wks. I work mine. My brothers is just a pet but giving him issues based on human and other dog reactivity. My brothers first dog. Should have gotten him a lab. I’m helping him but I have training as a handler. My brother does not understand why mine works and is social with people but his is a monster except with me. You really don’t know what you are going to get, but you always need to know initial behavior. Great video with Mals.
yes spot on,,, great video,,, i have been been breeding GSDS for over 30 years an that's harder to do than training quality shepherds,,,, but great assessment on good blood lines....love it from Aussie down under....👍
I was asked by the breeder what my lifestyle was going to look like..I wanted a pup (GSD) that had good drives but more on the family level personality. She picked Jacq (purple collar). Ha, Purple is my fav. color! Destiny, right?! I think it's awesome that you choose as you are far better equipped and experienced to choose rather than those of us who are not!
I love that you promote working line dogs . These days everyone seems to paint with a broad bush . Not realizing that many of us want brave protection dogs
The runt was gorgeous. I don't know much about dogs (I have a pet dog) but the runt was charming. His preference to attack Haz and his pants. He didn't seem put off by the rattle, more just not interested in it - would rather bite something. That's a lot like my dog with me. He doesn't really bite other people - he bites me. I let him to an extent because he really enjoys it. That's what that last pup looked like to me - he just liked to play bitey games.
awwww I wish I could take another. But my female rules. If she would love and play sweet with a pup I'd think I'd cry. She only accepts my german shep boy that she grew up with.

Greetings from Romania! I have some problems with my 6 months old ,working line sable GSD female. After 10 minutes good training sesion with very small reward portions,i become inexistent for her. Also i have almost 0 results with recall training. She has very high intensity, but after she s not hungry anymore,it s over. Thanks in advance for any advice!
I'm a dog owner, not a trainer, just so you know. But maybe I can help a bit. First of all, you need to be the best interesting thing in your dog's mind so that she will always choose you instead of anything else. If you are inexistent to her, then you're not interesting at all. From what I understand, your dog is not too food motivated, so find our what's her deal: a ball, a tug toy, whatever she love the most and use that as a reward. Your dog needs to have one or two meals a day. If she has more, she will never be motivated by food (some owner that complain about food motivation usually they don't have a correct meal time for them, but there are dogs that are just not so motivated by food). Don't push for a fail from the start, start slow, from a place that there are no distractions for her and build from there. Be patient. And also, I've watched this channel for so long and I love Haz and it's awesome work. So even if I didn't personally buy any of his online training courses (because I didn't need them for my dog), I'm sure that it's one of the best online trainings out there.
@@DC-xv5po Thanks for your comment!I did not recieved a notification untill now.. She is starting to eat a bit more, but to adress the feeding advice,i didn t wanted to starve her in order to have her working for food, because she was allready on the skinny side, and i didn t wanted to influence her size. Also she was the smallest from the litter, but the most intense and intelligent one . I am amazed by how intelligent she is,unfortunately ,i don t have to much time to put in her training. My brother is telling me that i am very smart ,seeing what she can do,but i always tell him that it s not me ,it s her, because many times i am convinced that she can read my mind. I don t recommend to anyone the following but this helped with her eating problem: I fed her chicken eggs and raw cow milk, because i was becoming desperate. I can t belive how much milk she can drink without vomiting or having diarrea. Now she looks better, her sisters are still bigger than her,but it seems like she is catching up,and she is stunning(big head, wide chest, and allround athletic conformation). Just so you know,i was a 27 years Caucasian Shepherd owner(i have a lot of experience with guard dogs),but training working line GSD is different,it s very time consuming, and you are right, when finding time,i was putting to much pressure on her in one session, that s why she became reluctant to work. Also training in a high distraction environement from the start is a huge mistake. Thanks again for pointing this out! Edit:I never knew that eating problems were a thing untill now,and i am amazed how many skinny GSD s and Malinois i see on the internet.
@@andreipetrescu603 I'm glad to hear that things are going well now. About food, well, there are some picky eaters and is possible that she would rather eat something else. I hear that Taste of the Wild is what people are feeding if their dogs are picky (here in Romania). But I never fed mine that, so maybe read the label first if you ever feel like trying some other kibble for her.
I worry that self protection dogs, once retired, are looked after properly. I know the military retire dogs at 8ish and most are not put to death as ‘equipment’.
Would you ship one of your puppy as far as Japan? I would be interested in a Duchy of medium/low intensity a little bit down the road as I go into retirement one or two years from now. There is no Dutch Shepherds in Japan by the way
Very interesting. I'm considering adopting one. I'm in the SF Bay Area, California. I don't have time for a Puppy unfortunately, but would consider a 2 year old family dog. I suppose at 2 years old, what you see is what you get? I'm interested in a smaller Mal - 50-60 Lbs, mellower drive ( for a Mal - LoL) and Female.
What is calling a puppy "a son of a bitch" all about? He's an idiot and wasn't using the term in the correct context therefore not necessary so not worth watching anymore. Dont get a good vibe from this fellas training or personality.
