How you can watch an England team play with no runners in front of players (Kane, Trent) who rely on runners and then say you don’t understand the shouts for Gordon is beyond me…

The reason Saka has been “invisible” is cause he’s had an absolute bum behind him in Walker. And the rare chance he was able to get forward, Kane was up the field and Saka had no one to give it to him.

id go to a back 5, its when england played the best and u can fit in all the best players, Saka and trent come in at full back provide width, walker, stones, konsa back 3, rice and mainoo holding, foden and bellingham in 10s and kane uptop

Rice cant play in midfield, at best a cb. He cant turn, cant shoot, cant pass forward, can't dribble, can't make long pass. Only good at side pass ,back pass.

I'd keep the same formation just change some personnel. Starting with Shaw on the left, got to make it worth while taking him . Then Bellingham in his favourite position the 8 role next to Rice & Foden the 10, and finally C Palmer on the left wing . Job done, we'd win 3-0 against the Swiss

Kweku’s team is tragic. Foden/Palmer/Jude/Kane will all tread on each others space lmao. The biggest issues are the two flipping fullbacks who’ve been dreadful, and LW.

Trippier hasn’t put a foot wrong defensively?? What?? He’s the reason guehi got a second yellow. He also SLOWS THE GAME DOWN because he constantly passes backwards and HAS to switch to his right foot.

Most ridiculous thing i have heard play TAA ahead of Walker at RB because Switzerland don’t have much going forward 😂 If you wanted to play TAA as a RB then should have been against Slovenia and Slovakia

Lads switezerland defend very narrow generally if you look at the heat maps and when the other teams have possession. Wed be mad to expect tripper and walker to provide width in this team which has been crying out for it all tournament. Youd be playing into their hands with a diamond

Sorry can you explain that again?..My own belief is that the Swiss Coach will try to exploit the space in behind Walker/Tripper, they might even set up for an aggressive counter attack instructing their front men to sit on the shoulders of our defenders in a mid block, to win England must force the issue in the wide areas and use Kane aerial strength...

this is ultra defensive pragmatic negatively cautious safegate we're talking about, he literally picks the best defensive player available in every position & so, what type of player do you think is going to perform well in his system? the better defensive players which is why he prefers saka over foden, palmer & trippier over trent etc

Only option that may have the possibility to work is 3-4-2-1 with back 3 of Walker, Stones and Konsa with Bellingham and Rice as CMs with Saka and TAA as WBs and Foden and Palmer as inside AMFs behind Kane.

I would go with 3-4-1-2. Walker-Stones-Konsa / TAA-Rice-Maioo-Saka / Bellingham / Kane-Toney. And then pray to the Gods!

how are you still playing the same team that hasn't worked in any game? Gordon has to play if you are playing Kane he needs someone who gets in behind so that means dropping Foden, and we are lacking creativity so why not play Englands most creative player in Trent? Especially when Walker has been awful defensively anyway

Put palmer and Gordon ......blah blah when they started against Iceland did Iceland not beat England.......palmer is good I think Saka should start and palmer can come into the pitch earlier........and honestly we should have brought rashford.......also trent should come in maybe as a sub.
