I bought a cheap metal detector for my Perdido Key Beach trip in October, I didn’t find any fancy jewelry, but I found a nice pair of angled needle nose pliers that went in my tacklebox. I found a boatload of tent stakes and paperclips. I loved every minute of it. It’s very addictive.

It's getting pretty cold here too! Still warm in the afternoon, but the mornings are getting uncomfortably cold! It's only a matter of time until the wetsuit comes out
havent found anything serious. but all kinds of junk jewelry. ,ear ring bracelet , ring ,we had a storm here. so the beaches got pounded. but the vanquish is pretty bad ass. soon some one will get a deal. wanted to try a vanquish. have a good day.
I don’t like this time change one bit! Gorgeous sunset as usual in Florida. After seasons over I’ll find an air BnB and finally enjoy the beautiful beaches over there! I think the hunt is very calming and relaxing! Thank you Shawn!
Hmmm... Switching machines... For Performance reasons or profit, standing by for MORE!!! LOL 😂 🧲(((💍🐟 (I hit a 5 foot nurse shark in zero vis yesterday with my coil, it was angry. And luckily I had my shark skin shorts and top on or I may have got cut from its tail. I think I had my first heat attack!). Happy hunting!🦈
It’s a machine that I’ve been wanting to use since its release! I was torn between that and the manticore, but obviously went with the manticore. Now I’ll get to finally put it to the test 😎
Hey brother, been binge watching your videos today. Great stuff. Im new to the area. SWFL. Looking online there's mixed info on detecting in the water. Is it legal or not. Or its one of those things- not an issue untill someone says something. Im a noob, have a sime little garret for dry land. Plan on going out for the first time to hit some beaches since its getting tad chilly for swimming 😂
There is a law saying that you can't do it. Police, lifeguards, and everyone else don't mind. I've been doing this for about 10 years, and have never heard of anyone in SWFL having an issue with law enforcement. We regularly remove piles and piles of trash and hazardous items(fish hooks and other sharp pieces) from the beaches. We all need to make sure that we always respect the privilege so that we don't lose it!
I haven't announced anything yet. When I decided on the Manticore, I was torn between two detectors. The one I'll be using now is the one I didn't initially choose. This time change is driving me nuts, because I want to get out there and use it, but it gets dark right when I get out of work!
I definitely wouldn't recommend that one even for a beginner. Using cheap equipment can be frustrating and takes a lot of fun out of the hunt. Stick with the main manufacturers and you cant go wrong (Minelab, Nokta, Garrett, XP)
