Thanks for another great video Smokey. I Picked up one of these in black last year and love it, absolute missile of a touring bike and the air box sound is so adictive. BMW have a video of them riding the M version prototype around the TT and it looks crazy.

We will be watching this model with interest. We love our BMW R Nine T scrambler and now my better half wants to get himself this M Series XR in Black or Tri colour too. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint doubt it will it looks bloody awesome but comfortable too. He's tossing up between this M Series XR or the new model GS when ever that comes out? Another great video mate. Stay safe.

The new GS is being released September 28. BMW is flying me to Berlin for the World Premiere even :-)

165hp isn't enough. I'm waiting for the M1000XR to trade in the ole S girl. Need to do a rip n' replace with a newer, fresher model.

Go back into my videos and you will see me riding the Zero DSR/X at the launch event and I actually loved it :-). I own a Surron light bee and thinking about buying the Ultra Bee as well :-)

That scooter is used 1 time a year for the Scooter rally with my best friends. It's a 3 day trip with about 1500 people , dressed up , drinking , partying all weekend and riding that shitty thing haha

I used to own a Gen 1 XR... It makes the RR and R completely pointless on the road. You lose 20mph top speed and gain infinite usability and imo it handles better than both bikes, reason being the easy riding position and wide bars, the RR you have to pull into a corner and on the road that's not a good thing, that R is still harder to steer and lack of wind protection and comfort just makes it pointless. The XR is the most flickable of the 3 with none of the downsides of the other 2. And yes it sounds insane with a full system.

@@LifeofSmokey As you mentioned only downside is that it's a little down on power atm, but as soon as the M1000XR rolls out, there will be 0 downsides and absolutely no realistic reason outside of being a permanent track junkie that one should choose the RR over the XR

Verwijder al het plastic van de S1000RR en wat blijft er nog over?/ Leven van RU-vid is inderdaad hard, tenzij je overdonderd wordt door sponsors, maar het is klimmen naar de top. Hey, look at the bright side, dankzij jou kocht ik deze maand een Monimoto / 4:18 De oude XR 1000 klonk zo veel wilder dan dit blok. Stomme EU emission regulations
