Yay!! I've been back only a week and I miss Maui immensely! We absolutely loved that POG juice, wish I could buy it in Virginia. So excited for your Maui videos! And I agree those tiki torch lights at night with the summer salt air hits differently. 🌺🌴🍍

I had the thought that we'd overlap our time in Maui, but found out before I left that you were already home. POG is really good! My sister fell in love with it! She even found a POG popsicle. Sunsets in Maui are the best and yes, I loved the tiki torches for the extra atmosphere.

Yay! I’m so happy you got to go back to Maui with your sister. We went in January and it was also hard to drive through Lahaina after the fires. We have stayed at MKV with our kids before and liked it okay. Our unit was old, but we loved the location. We got to stay for 13 nights, so we tried to get a cheaper unit to make the longer trip possible financially.

Thanks! It was so good to get back to Maui, but yes, seeing the burn area was really hard. I kind of had to go through those emotions privately as my sister didn't understand the impact or have any memories of the area. Seeing the photos was heart wrenching! Next time I think I'll take some time to go slower and look at them more just to pay respect to the families. Yes, the MKV is older which is its one drawback. I too stayed there to make the trip possible, but lucked out finding a unit that had just been upgraded. At first I didn't like being on the ground floor and having the external door, but then it became really convenient coming and going. I'll probably stay there again to make a trip with just Jason possible. The pool would be too small for my girls when we go with them next. Gotta rack up the AmEx points to make the Honua Kai possible again!

Thank you SO very much for all your help! I loved the pool and beach access at the MKV!! If Jason and I go back alone, I'll probably stay there. I loved being able to walk out to the beach and my walks on the boardwalk the most. Next time, I'll probably snorkel more at airport beach. I don't think it matters when you were in Hawaii last, being back home brings the Hawaii blues every time. Hope you're able to plan another trip soon!

Have you ever done Road to Hana? I won a trip for two to Hawaii when I was 21. I took my best friend. My parents wanted to go but we talked them into staying home. They didn’t want us traveling alone. When we went to get our rental car our luggage wouldn’t fit so we upgraded. My parents knew we would be ok😂😂😂

Yes, we've done the RTH as a family before, and I can't wait to do it again! I didn't go there on this trip for many reasons, so I'm hoping to in the future. I too would be nervous having my girls make that drive! It's not a scary road, but it does take some good driving skills to stay safe.

What? No way!! Wait did I miss something? I had no idea you were going to Maui with your twin sister!! How exciting!! You sure do keep great secrets!! I was totally surprised the other day when you told me I might wanna watch the Maui webcam!! I love when you do these awesome surprise videos!! I was so stoked when you told me you were on Maui with your sister. I am so excited to hear all about adventures!! I have to admit I am quite jealous you are there!! It will be a few years before David and I get to go again!! As I am watching you ladies drive around the bend into Lahaina, I am sitting hear crying as you pass the crosses and flags and paintings on the wall. The Lahaina Strong sign. How did you feel or what kinda emotions were going through your head? I be a total mess knowing that the beautiful town is no longer there and what those people dealt with the horrific day of the fires. I hope your sister didn’t pick on you if you got emotional. I know you and your family loved going into Lahaina to enjoy eating, shopping, exploring. I hope there is somewhere else on the island that you all can make new wonderful memories. Your studio condo actually looks really nice to me!! Did you ladies get a good rate there? Dayna you definitely have that Aloha glow to you!! Your happy place!! That beach where you were both swimming looks so nice about now!! So, so excited that you were able to go back to Maui and to show your sister around and show her all the things you love about Maui!! I loved surprising you, but keeping it a secret was really hard! I wanted to chat with you about it often! It was so good to talk to you that day while I walked on the boardwalk! Thanks for the good chat. I had a hard time going through the emotions of seeing Lahaina while I was there for a lot of reasons. I think next time I go I'll let myself feel all the feels. @@daynacreates1105 Yes, that was the best surprise!! I was so happy I was home and not working so I could talk to you!! I really enjoyed talking to you as you were walking along the beach path!! Maui is just so magical, the whole Aloha Spirit!! Seeing you so happy in your happy place is always so fun to see!! I absolutely love going to Hawaii no matter what island it is!! However, walking along that beach path with the wind blowing in your hair, salt water in the air, the sweet smell of Plumeria flowers, palm trees swaying. I definitely feel calm and relaxed there!! Once you go, it keeps drawing you to come back. I hope your sister fell in love with Maui and now can understand why you keep going back so often. And from your comments I am reading, I am sensing you may be going back sometime with Jason. Hmmm, 🤔 I will need to pay attention to your clues!! 😂

We stayed at the Maui Kaanapali Villa's on Kaanapali. It's just south of the Honua Kai and north of Black Rock. It's honestly the perfect location! If I go back with just Jason, I'll probably stay there. It's nice and quiet at the pool and the beach access is wonderful.

Actually, the seats aren’t made with leather. It’s a different material special to TESLA’s and they’ve stayed pure white so far! They wipe clean even if we spill something on them. These seats have stayed cleaner than any of my gray leather seats I’ve had in past cars too. Plus, I have the floor mat trays that keep all rain, mud and crumbs from touching the regular car floor. I just take them out, hose them off, and they’re good to go! And yes, my kids are in this car everyday, and it’s still all white!!
