Hi Liz, Nick and Louie! What a beautiful new home! To your question: a lot of CA people have moved to Oregon, but not to the rural areas. My home in CA, before the wildfire, was rural as is this part of OR. Honestly, Outsiders are not always welcome but when locals learned my family is from OR they welcomed my ACD and I! I am concerned about Louie's kennel under the bed, tho, as heat from the ground might make it too hot for him, depending on how well-insulated the floor is? Love that he chases the E-bikes! God bless you and your new home, for many miles of Joy and Love!😊🐺🙏💞👍
I've been following your channel for a long time. I love your videos. I grew up in the Hudson Valley. I love seeing home through your videos. The area has really changed over the years. I desperately miss it during the fall season. Good luck on your travels. Excited to see new videos with you and Lou!
First just wanted to say I adore your channel! Camper life with a dog and my cats is honestly my dream and watching your channel is only helping me realize it more. For your question: I'm a transplant from Alaska that's currently living in Austin TX and it's been certainly interesting hearing people's viewpoints. I think to date I've only met 4 "real" Austinites who were born and raised here and they seem to be selective on who they hate moving to this city. I haven't had any issues, but my friends from Cali have certainly had hate thrown their way, even though the majority of people moving to Austin are from other parts of Texas! The COL is too much for me to stay after graduating from nursing school though, I'd much rather find a hospital in a small town in a cooler environment. Happy trails, can't wait for the next video
Thanks for your videos. I took care of my brother's red healer for 2 years then flew with him home to Juneau where he lives now with my brother and his family. I moved back to Lomita CA. I'm thinking of buying a camper thanks to you guys. I might buy one from camper world in Valencia CA. Is it easy to maintain? I'm not sure if I can handle it by myself or if safe. I can't afford space rent for my 399 foot stationary trailer here in Lomita CA. I also got idea from new movie Nomadland living in a nice camper like yours though.
The Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge is the 16th longest continuous truss bridge in the the United States, if you go to the following Wikipedia page: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_longest_continuous_truss_bridge_spans scroll down, then click on: “List ranked by length of main span” You’ll discover the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge is only in 16th place; Just a little food for thought. We love the content and Godspeed.
Are y’all saving up funds to travel across the country? Do y’all plan on working any while traveling? In Lou’s future kennel area, I am concerned about Lou possibly not getting enough fresh air, especially during the summer months. It’s sad that y’all would already need to tear up part of the camper to allow Lou to be kenneled at night.
We actually moved to central NY five years ago, as at that time nyc was encroaching already. Now hearing from friends in Millerton about all the houses being bought up by people paying cash... Glad we moved away when we did. Oh and my dad was manager for about 29 years, of what was then Camper's Barn (prior to it's new name and ownership).. we never camped tho, he was way too busy!!!
Get some solar on that thing charge controller smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0794Z6496/ panels(could probably get more wattage with the amount of space youve got on the top of that thing) smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0159PHIXW/ could probably use about 4 of these for batteries to power that camper smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ACNO2AO/ be sure to get a proper wattage inverter this one might be too small wattage, but make sure its pure sine wave. there might be some way to tie the system on the camper into the charge controller directly, not sure, i just have this for my garage and garden smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ACNO2AO/
I'm in CA and live in somewhat rural area very small town in the San bernardino National forest. Since covid we have had a crazy amount of people hiking in the forest and trashing it. Which is so sad!! Do you guys plan on coming to CA?
That is exactly what happened when we were in Bend, Oregon! Portlanders came & trashed a lot of national forest campsites. We are staying in AZ for the winter & headed back to Oregon in the spring :)
@@LizLife its heartbreaking especially since nature is what people turn to during hard times why trash it if its a place to relax and get away. Anyways congratulations on your trailer!! Wishing you guys the best during your travels and journey(:
Hi again Liz. I showed your video to Camping World dealer. They said you have a Jayco Jay Flight SLX. They could find one for me if they had the SLX model #. Thank you in advance if you can help me with that or not too.
