A documentary that explores the lives of people that were affected by the High School Shooting that occured in 1998 and how it has changed their lives.
Any parent who looses there son/daughter in a school shooting is horrible, even worse when it's your son/daughter who is the shooter. That's a double hit to the head and no one should ever go through that.
thanks for this great video. I didn't know much about this shooting, too, and I think it's very important to see what happens afterwords. But to me it sounds a bit too "good". They don't say that there are even people who get depression or suicidal thoughts after something like this and so on.
Ben: You were by best friend and I love you. Im sorry for what happened. Im sorry god let this happen but we cant be mad at him. You are in a better place now...away from violence. I love you so much...you always treated me like your little sister. God Bless and RIP. Jessica
That's entirely untrue. We do not try to forget it. We are reminded of it and we are asked to reminisce upon where we were the day that it occurred. To forget about a monumental occurrence like this one is to negate the efforts the world has put into making sure that something like this never happens again.
he was only 16 and debate was whether he should be trialed as a minor and in oregon you cant receive the death penalty as a minor. he was sentence to Juvi where he actually was in the next room to my brother (stole one to many things) he said they played basketball all the time before he was finally sent to the big house at 18.
The fact that the first girl says "he came in with a 22..." A 22?! In England, I don't think it's common knowledge what a '22' is?! But that's America for you.
Dude, he had a mental illness. I'm not saying what he did was right, but either way, he couldn't help what happened. It's what society has brought us to.
for all you people out there feeling sorry for kip, i went to spfld high where faith (his mom) taught spanish. i knew kip, i knew mike (killed) and had seen ben(also killed) around. Kip was not picked on in school, he had a lot of friends and they ALL got overly interested in explosives, they ALL played with guns like they were toys and yet KIP killed, no one else he hung out with were involved in this plan and it WAS premeditated. after he got in trouble for having his dad's gun is when he
You're right. Kip wasn't "evil". But he did kill four people. He knew what he did, which is why the "Mentally Ill" defense didn't work. Honestly, ignorance toward common sense is a disgrace on our society, and it happens all too often.
he killed his father, then he waited for his mom to get home and shot her as she stepped out of her car in the garage. then he made his plan and he slept. THEN he went to the school and began killing. the only person i feel sorry for is his victim's families and his poor older sister who was away at the time... thank god or she might be dead too. he should be put away in a mental institution FOREVER! anyone ask theresa milltonbourgh how she feels about it? (and ya i know i butchered her name)
i would release him - if he is 24 now its 9 years in prison. He is not danger anymore, he was not typical school shooter - he was afraid kid, so scared of parents reaction that he thought killing them is the only way avoiding this. He loved mother and decided he needs to kill her not to let her find out about kicking out from the school and killing his father. And next murders in school were just pay back for pushing him to do that to his parents and trying to get shot by cops.
