I used to use a plastic pick. The metal ones are way better tho. The metal prongs thinner and stronger so they work better. Also, after you get your hair wet, you can even put some leave in conditioner too. It helps detangle. Or some of the olive oil spray
Oh yeah and 1 thing I'm surprised most ppl don't know about, it's not good to shampoo your hair every day. You should only shampoo your hair about 2-3 times a week.
@@jdoubleu3510 thanks for sharing that info! Don’t forget to subscribe and yes it’s true when you keep yourself hair protected it’s easier to. It wash it a lot!
Oh damn I have been doing it wrong . I always just go bare bones and start picking my hair like a maniac. Thanks this was really helpful you are getting a sub. Also how long did it take you to grow that Afro?
Quarantine got us out here trying to find ways to look decent. Got me out here looking like I’m asking for spare change😂 my state opens me up barbershops on Monday so we good now!
Great vid. Id suggest not drenching your hair in water. You want enough to pick through the hair easily and always use natural healthy oils to keep it moisturized
Thanks Ellen for your advice, the reason being is that everyone has different levels of water absorption for their hair lol as you could see all the water exited my scalp on to my face! Yes essential oils are a must ! Great advice please don’t forget to subscribe ❤️
My hair just slurps up the water and gets thicker and harder to pick or even braid so I don't try brushing when wet and even if i did it would have to be three minutes after showering then it just clumps up and shrinks
My hair is very thick now ! And it still works you just have to be more patient and give yourself self more time to pick it. Also purchase a bigger pick and it detangle brush
Hey Bro! I answered a similar question In this section. I actually only use plastic for durability it’s better because plastic can bend and is flexible metal and wood picks are typically more dense and less flexible which can rip out your hair! I hope that answered your question ? Don’t forget to subscribe ! 😄
Hey yeas, do you have a diffuser? Also do you let your hair air dry? If not use a diffuser piece that you can stay h to a hair dryer and on the lowest heat upside down diffuse your head it’ll keep the volume of your fro, and if it’s curly it’ll keep the texture. I’m going to do a video on it in the next few weeks so don’t forget to subscribe
It’s always going to flatten but if you wear a bonnet it should be soft and feta goes in the morning that all you have to do is pick again for a few minutes. So detangle before bed then cover with silk bonnet then in the am your hair should still be detangled and that it takes less than a minute to rejuvenate
It should grow back for sure, add some essential oils and massage the bald spot area with your fingertips to stimulate blood flow. Also pick your hair when wet! And don’t forever to subscribe.
Lol nice RU-vid name... and a Plastic pick because they bend more. Metal at the size my fro is in this video. The metal will rip your hair out! So I suggest getting plastic ones .
Stop The Cap yea 1. Cover it at night with a wave cap or bonnet. 2. Pick it out like I do in my video 3. Spray some Paraben free essential oils on it to keep it hydrated, and at least once a week deep condition your hair.
Does picking your hair out Everyday bad?? Because I struggle sometimes because I don’t want to feel like I’m constantly picking or pulling my hair out so some days in between I just don’t pick it at all if i already put oil in it the day before or already sprayed it with water.
It’s not bad if you pick it correctly! If you go in dry you’re breaking your hair alot more than when it’s saturated and especially if it isn’t detangled properly.
@@Dre_La_Mont wow thanks man all this time I didn’t even realize I was even doin it wrong I just thought that if I already washed my hair for example like the day before I didn’t think to really spray my hair with water and do it again I just thought I was suppose to leave it alone as far as just not picking it at all
Yes that true however picking out the hair is stretching out the hair it helps keep it from tangling and breaking. And that why it’s better to air dry the fro last longer 😄
If you wanna lay down that’s fine re pick the flat part of your head the ends are detangle at that point so it should be easy to pick again. If you want to go to sleep I’d wear a silk Durag and pick again when you’re ready.
Yes this is what you do to strangle tour hair but if you rock a fro, it’s also a style ! Insane you last comment too us you can do this in the shower! Also don’t forget to subscribe and have a wonderful weekend bro ✊🏾
Yes I know it sounds lame but be patient I’m gonna post a video by the end of next week with more tips on how to grow your hair faster! Also how long have you’ve been growing it out for ?
@@xdred9015 oh ok that’s not that long of a time, if you can’t do it your self I recommend getting a protective style for a few weeks like two strand twist or even braids.. I’m going to have a video up soon so don’t forget to subscribe.
Hey Law yes that true but some peoples hair doesn’t absorb water as much as others do. You see how the water after I sprayed it was all over my face, after the shower some people’s hair dries insanely quick.
@@mtaye1969 gabrallynsoeaking Yes however people say that’s a myth because you’re hair can absorb moisture still. But generally amount people urbanely yes
@@ksorev yes and no, hair shrinkage is natural however using heat and comb it can help with stretching your hair and adding weighted clips could possibly help. Do you know how long your hair is ?
To each it’s own l, but growing your hair gives you a power like no other...if you can be patient and grow it out imagine how that can transfer to other things in your life. Cutting is the easy route which is fine but depends on the seriousness of your hair growing pride. But if you know you can’t manage and handle the responsibility and getting a haircut is better for you no shame! ..... don’t forget to sub!
