Hi Manakin. I have been using the Audio Test Kitchen to try to hear the difference between the listed mics that is on the app. I am using good equipment and Sennheiser HD600 reference headphones. I must be doing something wrong as I cant hear a difference when I click on a mic while the test music is playing. Is there any settings that should considered ?. I am using a very good quality audio interface and run my stereo amplifier at a flat response. I am expecting to hear significant differences between some of the mics but I am hearing no difference at all. I wouldn't be able to use this app to choose a microphone. It isn't my ears as I have tested some of the mics I own and I can hear a difference between the. Am I doing something wrong in my settings or have I missed something in setting up ATK ?.
Hi there. Thanks for sharing this interesting comparison. I have to say though the music demo and your narration are really badly balanced. The levels for your narrative are way too loud. The demo test tracks are quiet by comparison. I had to listen to this demonstration by turning up the tracks when they were played and turning down again to listen to your narrative. The first time I tried to listen it was painful when your way over levelled narrative came in. I think this may put others off of listening to this demo which will be a shame as it is a very good comparison.
Glad you were not offended. I believe if you fixed / levelled the audio for that video you would get a lot more hits where people would stay and subscribe. Excellent comparison and information. Thanks again for sharing.
