@@locusxe1411 I don't think those are the reasons he didn't eat them, (might be different in the manga but I'm basing this only off the anime which is what I've seen) Pickle won't even target things he considers weak, he went after Baki in the beginning so he didn't view him as weak and me may have just not been hungry then but in the Katsumi fight they deliberately said he decided to go back to the arena hungry out of some kind of respect for him
He didn’t hypnotize the guards, he intimidated them into beating each other up like he was their parent catching them with their hand in the cookie jar.
1. I love how the Pickle arc was just him folding half the cast, Baki himself included 2. Yujiro being mildly impressed by Pickle, but then deciding he's seen enough and leaving the arc out of boredom really puts into perspective the difference in strength between him and literally everyone else 3. Jack and Baki might have lost, but they put up *good* fights
to be fair in the Baki fight, he threw only because at this point if he still used his techniques it was clear he would have won, so he turned it into a more interesting (to him) pure strengh contest for the sake of still challenging himself
Think we should mention he only ate what he deemed as actual threats and competition. So most of the animals ran off and he ain’t eat them but the tiger tried to fight so that’s the one he ate after days of not eating.
The reason pickle was scared of Jack is because whenever pickle beats someone and eats them he thinks he's killed them because his mindset is fight. win. eat. So when Jack tried to get his get back pickle was shook because he's never seen an enemy he's defeated essentially "come back from the dead".
The reason why Pickle didn't eat Katsumi wasn't because he tasted bad, but because in Pickle's eyes Katsumi had gotten promoted from "Three Course Meal" to "Well Respected Friend". Also the reason why Pickle ran away from Jack was because he reminded him of a dead Wasp that had stung his tongue when he ate it, in other words Pickle was afraid of anything that still fought after death because it reminds him of the pain the Wasp inflicted on him when he was young. Btw while Katsumi was promoted from "Three Course Meal" to "Well Respected Friend", Jack went from "Three Course Meal" to "Thing worth fearing" and then all the way down to "Leftovers". EDIT: Baki basically got too arrogant in the end

@@RazielTheUnborn From what my bf told me (I havent watched Baki yet so all i know are the CJ vids) Jack was already at a disadvantage because he had some kind of health problem that was already going to be making his goal of becoming strong like his father that much harder, so sadly Jack had no choice (I mean he had a choice but with THAT kind of father he probably felt like he had to do something IMMEDIATLEY) but to use science.
@@LovelyLina034from what I've heard, the reason jack was sickly was because he was overtraining. The drugs he takes is so that his body could keep up with what he wants to do. If he trained like baki, he might've just be a bigger blond baki.
@@Aaayyyeeee214 one more thing, Jack's legs is also pretty weak. he used the bones lengthening metode to make his bones longer, and his legs is the longest parts of his limbs. so, his legs is so frail. he barely using kick attack on the opponent. well, I think he prefer to bite them ears😏
Winning and losing in this anime is subjective. You can be face to the Earth and still win. From my understanding, if you don't win your way, you lose. Pickle was forced into a fist fight different from his primal way of fighting and it cost him the match, despite technically beating Baki
That’s kinda True buts it’s more so that once Baki realized he could beat pickle with his normal fighting style, he wanted to beat pickle with pickle’s style . Baki specifically likes beating people at their own game especially when he knows he can win normally like he needs himself to train harder
34:30 so this is a good time to point out that this scene right here……is VERY reminiscent to Yujiro’s demon back stance in the manga. Its theorized in the baki community that Pickle is the “missing link” in the Hamma bloodline. Like some kind prehistoric ancestor.
The thing about Baki is the writer wrote the story seriously at the beginning but everyone said it was too serious that's how we got the outlandish stuff we have now... also every character is based off real people
Nah actually that was a good idea to skip that because I have an assumption that Skitten has some degree of a past involving that or someone in their lives was affected by that and it would have been a negative trigger to them.

Fun fact: The reason why Pickle didn't try to eat Jack is because je reminded him of Wasps, which is the one thing Pickle is afraid. Mainly because they can hurt him even after he beats them.
When he dropped slammed baki from the top of the arena he started to pray for baki and that’s what that scene of baki coughing blood is bc baki is angry that pickle prayed for him mid fight

The reason Baki sold the fight at the end was to use pickle as practice for his fight against his dad. Since pickle doesn’t know martial arts it was kind of a mismatch so Baki just threw hands with him Man to Man the old fashion way.
Also, the great thing about being a manga reader is I already know how the series ends. As wild as it sounds, this isn't even as bad as the Pickle arc gets. Yujiro hasn't even shown up for his piece. And the rape hasn't happened yet.
Actually the explanation of how Yujiro got into the base kind of makes sense - and he didn't hypnotize them. The guards did their job, stopped Yujiro, and asked himto leave - which pissed him off. The guards took one look at Yujiro, felt his aura of killing intent, and moving on pure instinct started to box each other. Their logic was that "We either have to fight this mf'er or ourselves" Yujiro then watches them beat the hell out of each other for a bit, yells at them to stop like he's scolding some kids, and then tells them: "You lot made a wise choice, you're forgiven. If you tried to fight me, i'd kill you. Also, if you tried to run away, i would have killed you" Edit: Pretty sure the Baki manga came out in the 90's and had a 2001 anime

Hope they see this but random fact about Jack: a big part of his fighting style is uhhh biting, so the bite off is something that makes a lot of sense because he wanted to test to see if his biting compares to pickle (who naturally had crazy strong teeth) also Jack is actually having a pretty good come back arc in the manga (he’s a fan favorite and is pretty strong but his win loss rate is pretty bad tbh)

I pretty sure we around the same age and the first time I watched Baki was on ActionStarz at midnight. They put me on to all the real shit, Tokyo Tank Police, Bubblegum Crisis, Blue Gender, 3x3 Eyes, X, Demon City Shinjuki, the StreetFighter 3 anime, Princess Mononosuke!!!! it's why I never got anything done on weekends in middle school and why I was tired from Friday to sunday. I'm not missing a sing day!
