In the serving example when you were serving from the right side and wanted to switch to the left, your partner was on the left side and you had to agree who was sliding in front or behind. Why wouldn't your partner just stand on the same side as you, to your right as you serve, so you just slide left and he's already pretty much in position?

Solid observation, David. That's one way to do it, of course. I demonstrated this movement as an example of disguising from our opponents what we are going to do. I should've clarified that in the explanation. Thanks for watching!

I was wondering the same thing. If we are serving at 1-0-1, and my preferred side is the left side, I should be serving.

Trying to learn stacking protocol. What;s a simple way using the score to make sure proper receiver by using score. i.e. odd serving odd, I started on even side. Where do I recieve?

The easiest way to remember what side to play, whether you are serving or receiving, is remembering where you start the game. If you started on the right side, regardless of whether you are serving or receiving, you will always be on that side when your score is even. When your team score is odd, you will be on the left side. I hope this helps!

Tim, can you please clarify, are you saying you stay on the same side when you and your partner’s score is even? Or is it the the total score of the match (ex. If the score is 1-1). Same with switching, are you switching when the you and your partner’s score is odd or when the total total of match equals an odd number (ex. match score is 2-1)
