The English dresses are so much cheaper than the American ones and are sometimes much better. This dress at £828 was a steal and she looked fabulous!

Just for clarity - I was on a morning news show once for a curly hair makeover. First they brushed it out so I looked like a lunatic and then they fixed it to look like I actually style it....point is, TV lies.

@@catladyfromky4142 I know right? ^^ It was stunning on her. I would’ve cared less if it wasn’t white. Even the lace was beautiful on her. It wasn’t distracting or too much, in my opinion.

if she values their opinions more and makes her more assured then so be it, she clearly enjoys sharing the good stuff and wants everyone to be even more happy than her. A generous person that I wish her ever lasting happiness.

Umm maybe or maybe her family helped her see clearly that the first was too heavy for a beach wedding, the final choice was lovely on her , she’s got a loving family and that’s all that matters, it’s just a dress , family and respect comes first.

LOL. Unflattering is a matter of opinion. Some brides WANT these opinions, even if they clash with her own. Like here. She found the dress she loved the most AND what the entourage loved the most. Isn't that how it should be - the entourage helping her find the best dress?

@@catladyfromky4142 none of these dresses were unflattering on her. the point of the entourage is moral support. if the dress is unflattering to the bride then it should definitely be said. but if the bride loves a dress and the entourage talks her into not loving it anymore, then they're there for themselves and not the bride. this isn't the worst entourage i've seen, but it's not the kindest either. the bride should be the one to choose the dress, not the entourage.

IDK. It is a big purchase. I think lots of people want another opinion on an important and/or large purchase. And lots of brides want to "wow"their guests, so they bring practice guests (i.e. the entourage) to help them pick the "one".

Not in this case , she’s brought up to be loving and respectful to her family whatever is wrong with that ? She chose the dress she wanted, a fitted , lace, Bardot sleeve, she just wanted affirmation. She has been brought up well, good luck her future nuptials.

To you, yes. You did exactly what is best for you. But some brides want to wow their guests too. Therefore, they need people who will be guests to help her pick it out. You did what is best for you. In the end, you're going to be the only one looking at the photos. But sometimes other brides want to find a happy medium - a dress that they love and that their guests will be impressed. It is ok to feel that way, even if you don't.
