Not sure if is cause later version of software but using your example of 1ms/s sample and 20 ms/div gives me sample interval of 41us. Sample interval only stays at 1us when ms/div is over 100.
Go to time stamp 7:44 in the video. Change your sampling mode from Buffered to Sample Rate. then your sample rate will be stable across multiple time sweep settings.
@@DrivelineMaster thats exactly how i have it, but from 100ms/div up, its stay in 1us sample interval. When i go under 100msdiv,it start changing, i tried reinstalling the software and didn't help, thanks for your response
This is very strange. I just downloaded the most recent early release of Pico Automotive and double checked. 1us sample interval stays consistent all the way from 5us/div all the way to 20s/div . I'm doing this in demo mode today but I believe I had my scope connected to a simulator board when I made the video. Try resetting everything by going to Settings and click on Factory under Start-up settings. close and reopen Pico 7. Return to Settings and change Start-up settings to User. Return to the time base Setting and reset Sampling to "Sample Rate, Custom, Target Number of Samples to 1M, Progressive mode to 200ms/div and Previous Progressive Waveform Off. Then test the sample interval again and let me know.
@@DrivelineMaster tried and same issue, funny thing it works on demo mode,. Also,it doesn't have the custom ,low , high for the sampling. I installed the software in another laptop and exact same issues, I wonder if the scope have some firmware issues. Any way for factory reset?
Hmm, Which Pico scope do you have because it could be scope hardware that is causing these limitations. I will connect my scope later today and test it again.
