Been waiting for you to show us this because you are more trustworthy than others I've seen so thank you my friend! You are a constant source of important Pico information! They should be paying you!
Thank you for your kind words, my Pico friend! :) I've started some collab with game devs and accessory manufacturers, so that's kinda my paycheck for now :) Expect some more game reviews, and reviews for the latest aftermarket accessories!
For me buying pico 4 instead of quest 2 was very good decision also really love Android versatility 😁😁 I hope in future we will get good Android based VR games which we can sideload
Right, although they are very similar, both in hardware and software, the Pico platform is much more open, just like you said it. Only time will tell how it will all evolve. It's been only 3 months since Pico 4 was released, and we already have much content to enjoy. I really hope that gets even better in the future!
@@Kyosofuu Maybe it arrives on the Pico platform one day. Now that Pico has official OpenXR support, they will attract more developers, so there's a higher chance we get some cool games that are currently supported only on other platforms.
Not sure about NordVPN, but I used PowerVPN for some of my use cases and it was working just fine. Actually, any Android app that doesn't use Google Play Services (as it's not installed) should install and run properly (assuming it's compiled for Android 10 and lower).
You'll have to be a little bit more specific than that. All the apps I mentioned in the video give you access to free games and apps from the Google Play Store, and none of them should be paid ones and/or checking if you bought them, unless you are really sideloading paid games from the Pico Store (in which case I cannot help you).
You are wonderful, and I am one of your followers. I would like to ask about controlling the keyboard properties, adding languages, changing them, and modifying them if possible. Thank you very much.
Hi. The keyboard properties are unfortunately very limited here. I know it's all Android, but you cannot install new keyboards like on smartphones and tablets, and tweak them to your liking. What Pico gives you in their firmware is all you get. I tried to add custom keyboards and they don't show up anywhere :( Maybe in some future system update..
Yeah, maybe I should have said this too. But it's the same as for any other game from the Pico Store. You just press and hold your Trigger button on the app's icon and select Uninstall. As simple as that. Or the harder way, go to Settings, then General, and Manage Apps. Then on the app list select the one you want to remove, and choose Delete app.
When you sideload an app for the first time from a third-party app (instead of the Pico OS itself), you will have to confirm the security popup dialog. You probably missed it somehow (or didn't confirm it), so I suggest you try again and read carefully what the popup says. Once you do that, it won't ask you that next time, so the sideload process will be simpler.
yeah I gave permission on pico security pop up after sliding button and gave permission there is no other button to confirm it or any button to close pop up and it keeps popping up but I managed to download some apps from apkpure.Gonna check it again.Thnx@@AllThingsPico
Depending on which version you currently are, you should use either owoMushi's conversion script, or flash a full global firmware (easier and highly recommended) on your Chinese version of the headset. This subject isn't really suitable for a textual answer, so I suggest checking out links below, and heading over to that Discord server. There are some guys who are very helpful, so credits for everything on these links go to them. Just bought my headset and sadly, my unit was updated to 5.7. Although I can install the game apk I get a verification error shortly afterwards. I tried installing offline but the same problem occurs. I hope this can be fixed soon
Many would like to be updated to 5.7, because they are stuck on 5.5 and 5.6 for some weird reason. You should be happy! :) Installing the games always worked as expected, so there's nothing to be fixed really. You will get a verification error only when trying to start games and apps (either free or paid) that you're not entitled to. This usually means you obtained a cracked APK file and trying to get away without paying for it. Please note that this channel does NOT condone piracy in any way.
Any APK? If you're trying to sideload free apps/games using APKs I've shown in the video, your Pico shouldn't have any issues running them (except if they are somehow incompatible). But if you're trying to run someone else's apps that you didn't pay for, especially ones from the Pico Store, Pico will detect that you're not entitled to run them. And I would rather not discuss about those ones :)
