The first song i heard from Robin was early this morning around 12:30am or so and it was the "heart of glass" cover song; I Did not know nor know of Ms. Benedict before today. After hearing her sing approximately a minute or so,it became blatantly obvious that i was hearing and feeling from her - a depth, a range..., a clarity, a wonderment of difficult ease with her words wrapped in a melody and blanketed by a soulful riff. I am finding myself ( for lack of a better word, term or phrase) at a fork in the middle of the road This is a woman who starts singing from a very defined center of being (her essence), watching it well-up and come forth - revealing the nature of her artistry, and an artiest she truly is-in every sense of the word ! She can whisperingly sing as a butterfly and just as easily leave you shocked and awed by the resounding power of just one note. Sometimes her stylings and interpretation of feelings and the story it tells or the emotions that it might leave or bring about is a tiring yet Heart Fulfilling reminder of just how fragile and wonderful a soul and a life really is'. So my friends, just as others move on and up..., so do the soulful sounds and stylings of one - Ms Robin Benedict , and who knows..., her singing, could just make "All the Difference in the World"! written by: Mark E. OMG, Janis Joplin was from Port Arthur, Texas, which is my hometown (about 100 miles east of Houston). Janis went to the same high school as I did, but a few generations before. When I heard this cover, I got chills. Your voice is so awesome!
Saw you play a music festival last weekend... your beautiful voice brought me to tears. I will definitely go to all your shows in the future--- amazing!!!
