Is that a bit of Minstrel In The Gallery I hear, starting at around 4:24? Was that an instrumental interlude of Martin's that they were playing live this early? I thought I was pretty good with Tull trivia, but this knowledge had escaped me previously, is it well-known among the faithful? Anyway, thanks to TullTapes for reconstructing and exposing another choice bit of musical history!
Yes, this Minstrel snippet was indeed included as part of Martin's guitar soloing on the Passion Play & WarChild tours ... you can certainly hear it on these tours' bootlegs ... before becoming part of Minstrel as recorded later on in '75.

Have indeed seen this footage as used for "The Third Hoorah" from WarChild video, but seeing it here with the proper Passion Play audio synched in is a real treat. Thanks TullTapes.
I heard a snippet ultimately used in the song Minstrel in the Gallery. I guess they put it in a box and saved it for quite a while! Glad it didn't go to waste.
There is a extended play cd of A Passion Play by Jetro Tull, that includes the movie. It was released in 2003. Steel Eye Span opened for them on this tour.
@TullTapes. V frustrating to see only disconnected snippets, when you obviously have more footage of this extraordinary event: the '73 tour. Why not release it? Best Tull concert I ever saw,
If you read the introduction, i think it's pretty clear those are the only clips that exist. There already is a more audio in this video than video because what was filmed is so little. Back in the day, 35mm film was evidently expensive - Pink Floyd didn't fare much better when it came to filmed bits and pieces.
