My third holes were pierced in October 2020. I kept my piercings in for awhile but while I was pregnant in 2021, I was not consistent keeping earrings in my third earlobe piercing resulting in them closing. Here is how I get my piercings back open when they start to close on me.
Keep in mind.. I will not do this if I'm bleeding or if it my ear is too irritated. It will only cause more problems.

Or there’s something called a taper, which you can get in many sizes at most body jewelry companies. It’s what professional piercers use to re-open closed piercings. It’s more sterile than an old piece of Claire’s jewelry and you can thread most kinds of jewelry onto/into it and get the earring you want in there. Also investing in some implant grade titanium flat back labrets or click rings that you can leave in 24/7 are a great way to keep your piercings from closing in the first place.

my nose piercing partly closed up bc i was trying to change it but it wasn’t completely healed. so i just forced a sterilized thumb tac in it and put my hoop back in. it worked and it didn’t get infected thank god

I got my ears pierced in april so its been nine months. When i got them pierced i got 18k gold earrings and it looked rly pretty. Ofc since i got it done in my helix it would take alot of time to heal. In the first week noticed a little swelling in the front as well as the back so i told my mom abt. I just thought that "okay its a little infected, ill just have to wait for it to heal properly". A month passed. The pain was better but the swelling was still there. 4 months passed. It got a little better 5 months passed. The swelling kept coming and going. 9 MONTHS PASSED. Redness was gone, but swelling was STILL THERE. I told my mom abt it and we came to the conclusion that maybe its cuz of the type of metal and im having an allergic reaction to it. We went to that same jeweller who pierced my ears and he had to cut the earring off. He told me and my mom that i need to wait for A FEW DAYS so the swelling goes away and then i can put an earring in. He assured me the earhole WOULDNT CLOSE cuz i had the piercing for 9 months. We waited for abt 3 days or so, the piercing closed. And the swelling wasnt even gone. And it STILL hasnt gone Im obviously gonna get my ears repierced, but the fact that he said that my piercing wouldnt close and it still did makes me so incredibly frustrated its ridiculous. I hate needles in general but i RLY RLY wanted this piercing so i worked up the courage. I literally got so many compliments from ppl from school and my friends. Ik its just a piercing but it literally makes me so so sad. The moment i realised my earhole closed i started bawling. I cant believe that dude is qualified for this stuff. Thanks sm 👍

I cried so much because my front whole is open but back is closed so if i try this am i basically piercing it again because i dont know if i should try this halp my mom said ill havwe to pierce it again i got my piercing about 6 months ago i didnt put any earing for 5 days and now my back hole is missing wow

The same thing is happening to me right now, I had to take the earring out of one my 3 month old seconds for like 10 days bc one of them got infected, and now I'm js mentally preparing myself to push that lil shit thru my earring hole later 💀

I did this today, a week ago we found out my earing lock was imbeded in my skin and made a big slit at the back of my ear, we cured it as it had a infection whereas alot of crust was stuck in my ear, ever since, my mother had been helping me place the earings it, i didnt have the guts to do it myself, today i had the sudden motivation to just stab an earing in the piercing this was my third attempt on a lobe piercing so i was determined on opening the hole than getting a new one, it barely even hurt and im now able to place earrings on myself! Im glad, and everytime i shower i take it off to prevent rust forming as they are just fancy earings. Im looking for white gold earings that would actually fit a kid 😂

thank you so so so much! i just got my seconds done yesterday and today when i was cleaning them, i noticed that my earring was only halfway though my ear because the backing had fallen off, and i wouldn’t have been able to get it back though if i hadn’t watched your video, and tried though the back. thank god i got it back open, thank you so much for that wonderful trick ❤

Okay so, I’ve Had my seconds done for about 5-6 months and arround 4 weeks I changed them for my dance concert to sleepers( the really tiny and annoying ones ) and about a week ago I changed back from those to tiny studs with small things that stick into your ear ( idk what they are called ) and I can’t seem to change them back to my sleepers! Because of how small my hole is now . Any help is welcome 😅😅

I've literally *just* taken out my piercing earring after 8 weeks and I can't get it back through the back. I can feel that it's right there but it's like there's a very thin membrane I'd have to push it through... but I'm guessing that would hurt. Surely it shouldn't have healed over right? It's only been an hour at most, I really don't know what to do :(

It's been few hours only and i am facing same problem, i think that obstruction is some kind of bone cause i pierced the tragus. I don't think it will survive, what did you do?

@@TS-rx8gl Oh no... well in my case it was just my earlobe so I'm not sure about tragus piercings. Personally, I ended up just going to bed without any luck because it was too late to think rationally, I went back to my piercer early the next morning and they said it needed re-pierced. The healing time was only another 2 weeks and they were kind enough to do it for free so I didn't mind. A couple of my friends say the same happened to them but they just pushed it through (resulting in bleeding and being sore for the next few weeks), I honestly couldn't have done that because I'd be scared of the pain but if you do then make sure everything is sterile. It's honestly bizarre how it heals in such a short space of time, I still don't understand it. I really hope you manage to sort it out! I fully understand how scary it can be, I was seconds away from a breakdown haha... It's really up to you, I'd say you're two options are trying to put it through yourself (carefully and with it sterile!!) or take what I think is the safer option and seeing your piercer asap. This is late lol but I tried switching out my earrings after waiting 5ish weeks. The first set of hoops went fine, but on the second I couldn't get one in. I put my piercing earrings back in and I ended up having to forcefully put the difficult one in (it felt like a little pop and a small drop of blood...I think the back started to close and I had kind of "repierced" it but idk. It didn't hurt though, thankfully

Mine had to be closed when I got my first one in one ear. It got infected and I went to Clare’s and they used a gun. My mom told me I shouldn’t but my dad went with the cheaper option. Ever since then I’ve gotten piercings with my mom 😂 i am 12 so I need a adult

No, go to a piercer and they will open it for you. Most of the time it's just a small layer of skin that they need to pierce through.

I got a cartilage piercing 3 months ago. I know that it takes several months to heal. However, now I developed a pimple/bump near the piercing? What do you recommend I put on it? Thank you!

It could be an irritation bump or keloid. Keloid is scar tissue and a dermatologist would be your best bet there and for an irritation bump which isn’t permanent, you would have to figure out what the irritation is.

I had same problem. What helped me was using Dial antibacterial soap. It might take awhile for it to clear up but just be careful not to dump it or it could inflade more 😬

Frfr if that thing ain’t goin in put that thing thru the front and if it ain’t goin in put yo thumb on yo back ear and hold the front of the earring and the back and push until you poke that hole back open

Girl just use a normal earring and squeeze your ear a Little and put the earring through I've been doing that ever since I was little and nothing wrong happened just do it you don't need 15 steps or whatever and you don't have to stop you just go straight through

The gross stuff could be built up mold from the earrings. Cleaning then frequently would be able to prevent it from happening. The piercing would close faster the more newer the piercing
