Pierre Watkin played Perry White to Kirk Alyn's Clark Kent/Superman in the 1948 and 1950 Superman serials. He also shows up a few episode of the television series. His first scenes were filmed on July 26, 1951 when he plays Harry Green in "The Case of The Talkative Dummy."

Twice in this episode Superman uses x- ray vision to look into a lead-lined safe . This is a good because lead is the only substance that his x-ray vision cannot penetrate.
