Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan has defended pianist Brendan Kavanagh after the musician was confronted by a Chinese mob who demanded he stop playing a public piano in a train station.
“You’re just minding your own business, you’re playing beautiful piano,” Mr Morgan said.
“Then this group of Chinese people in the background with their flags come over, and sort of believe they have the right to stop you filming and doing what you’re doing.
“The policewoman who came over to you, I didn’t like what she was doing either, which was almost acquiescing to this.
“They should all just calm down, recognise we live - last time I checked - in a free, democratic country, and you are allowed to play the piano where you’ve played it many times.”
