Piers Morgan Is STUNNED By Ex-Teacher's Views On Islam: "It's An Abomination!"

Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by former teacher and devout Orthodox Christian Joshua Sutcliffe to discuss whether he was justly struck off from his profession for 'misgendering' pupils - plus Piers challenges some of his more controversial views on same-sex marriage, Islam, adultery and the death penalty.
Piers begins by sympathising with Joshua for being fired from his school for what he claims was accidental 'misgendering' of a pupil. Joshua says it was an honest mistake and claims gender identity is a difficult issue to keep abreast of.
However, as the interview continues, Joshua starts to share more and more distasteful views, including calling Islam an 'abomination', criticism of same-sex marriage and the view that adultery and other sins should be punishable by death. Piers shuts down all these beliefs and discredits Joshua's attempt to defend them.

I am Muslim and I am not offended that he has such a view about Islam. Just because he views Islam negatively that does not make Islam a bad religion. I am sure if he read more and knew more about Islam he would change his views. I am proud to be Muslim and I hope to die as a Muslim. Islam is such beautiful religion that teaches you everything that you need to be peaceful and content in life. I could go and on…. I just wish this man would open his eyes and read more

Like it or not, Christianity is based on the new testament where Jesus specifically says " I am the truth, the light and the way". He also said, " I have come to complete the law, not abolish it. People love to cherry pick lines from the old testament such as stoning people. Jesus also said, " let he who is without sin, cast the first stone", he also said, " If your eye causes you to sin, pluck out your eye, better to go to heaven with one eye, than hell with both eyes". This teacher is spreading the word of God and that's his right. As a kid, we were all taught that homosexuality is wrong, then came the tolerant movement. Today, we are chopping off young kids' body parts in the name of tolerance. Where does it end. Kudos to this teacher for standing his ground.

Sex is the biological categorization between the male and female of a species based on a set of inherent and often pronounced characteristics. Whereas gender is more of a social construct created to differentiate groups of individuals, usually on the basis of sex, and include things like perceived roles, attitudes, norms, values, relationship between the different sexes, etc. Interestingly, the concept of more than two genders have existed long before modern society and its current day preoccupation with it in these culture wars. Tribes and old cultures from places as varied as Mexico, to India, Indonesia, even certain Native American tribes, etc have had concepts about genders that go beyond the binary. It's easier to change gender, as a social construct, than it is to change the biological sex that we were born into. But now, even science have made it possible those physical changes. So whether or not we agree with the notion that a person can be a man, woman, or neither, regardless of their inherent characteristics, it's not as simple as saying "you can't change what you are".

He’s controlled opposition, he condemned his guest for executing adulterers - In Islam, adulterers are executed as well, so basically Piers attacked Islam indirectly. The Christian is apologetic, his answer should’ve been: If the adulterer is proven to be guilty then he deserves execution. We all know in Islam that you need multiple witnesses or a confession to make the execution happen - Which is rare, so we conclude that the death penalty in this case is to protect the society from publicizing adultery, which is what’s happening now in the west, in where they even brag about cheating.

I was about to comment this and wondered why he was against the pronoun stuff… then he turned out to be brain washed by religion and says gay people are an abomination and believes they should be executed. I’m an educator of almost 25 years now and I can say this with complete confidence, when a student asks you your beliefs or opinion on matters of religion and politics, you should never share them. It’s really not that difficult. My students do not know with certainty what my beliefs are because they are mine alone.

I met him around when I first became Christian and gave him my testimony about becoming Christian. There was no grooming kids. Also his religious ideals were far from extreme. If caring about your student is extreme then I guess it would be extreme. In fact I've never noticed him ever saying anything bad about trans people or even mentioning them. He is a real Christian. He never placed emphasis on homosexuality transgenderism etc as the worst sins. He was always clear in the CU that all sins are equal under the eyes of God, in that no 1 person is superior to another as we are all sinners. You calling him extreme and a groomer is not only a lie but a complete misjudgment of his character. If you can cite a specific example of extremism, then please show them with evidence instead of blatant accusations

@@kamalabout9640 No he was preaching the Gospel which Piers Morgan as a Catholic should know. In the old testament it says all sinners should suffer the death penalty. The Gospel is that God sent Jesus to save us from that death. As everyone is a sinner in this world. Jesus lived a perfect life without Sin and then was killed on the cross as payment for our Sin and then rose from the dead . Therefore no one has to suffer the Death penalty as long as they believe in Jesus Christ and repent. He paid for our Sin so we can have eternal life in Heaven. He also wasn't referring to being stoned to death on earth but when we die are Judged by God we can still have eternal life in Heaven instead of our soul being destroyed by being cast into Hellfire. This is what Christians believe and is where Christianity differs from Judaism and Islam, in which if any Sin was committed during a lifetime God will not be able to forgive. As the debt(sin) has to be paid. That is without believing in Jesus who has paid the debt for us and ofcourse in Judaism they don't recognise Jesus as Messiah and he is not part of there religion, and in Islam they don't believe in Jesus as Messiah but as a Prophet of God.

He claims that he was removed from teaching because he “used the wrong pronoun,” but my guess is there were several other issues that came up along the way. It’s also unlikely he didn’t add on further lecturing after “messing up” the pronoun. I don’t believe for a second that he kept all of his other views and rants to himself the entire time he was teaching. While I’m definitely for saying what you think and sticking up for your beliefs, I’d have taken issue with it being brought up in my kid’s school, too.

Hi! I'm a lapsed Catholic and have great respect for Islam.. I consider myself Christian but no longer attend any catholic church as the bible states to "come out of her" if I am unsatisfied or if heresy is being preached..as a former Catholic we are used to verbal attacks from other faiths (especially protestants😊)...I know for a fact that islam is extremely welcoming to new converts and I saw how generous Muslims in Dublin are to homeless people❤❤

As it has been already shown in the Dantes Inferno, there is a hierharcy of sins, some are worse than others and the worst one is portrayed to be betrayal. Genocide would be betrayal of humanity, which is contradictory to "all sin should be punishable by death". I don't dare to say that I believe in God, I believe in the balance of justice and mercy. Too much mercy and there are no standards for appropriate behaviour, too much justice and everyone would get squashed by ideological perfection. We are all falliable, so neither extreme is the right choice, balanced versions of both make us function and act within a frame. I think we need limitations, but too much of that and life gets unbearable. I like to compare that to work, micromanaging is bad, checking on your employees work once in a while is okay and even necessary and unlimited freedom-forgiving everything leads to you going out of business.

I wish he articulated Christian views better, it’s such a pacifistic religion, capital punishment was legal in the Old Testament but in the new covenant that we are in under Christ, Jesus says those who haven’t sinned should cast the first stone. “The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through our lord Jesus Christ”. All sin is punishable by death under God’s law but a criminal cannot condemn another criminal, we are all sinners and need to repent and turn to Christ to be saved.

Mr Morgan didn’t give chance to that teacher to explain his views. We Christians follow the teachings of the gospel and Jesus Christ never allowed to stone anybody for any kind of sin. Jesus clearly taught to forgive your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Christianity never allowed any kind of killings of sinners. That teacher wanted to explain that we are all sinners and Christ did sacrifice himself for our sins so we can get eternal life. That teacher never said that we should kill all the people who committed adultery, Mr Morgan were putting his words in that teacher’s mouth which is very disgusting and unfair. This interview showed Mr Morgan has no knowledge about Christianity but he claimed that he knows Bible. @@spodface12 you and also Piers didn´t get it. He tried to explain that all Mankind is flawed and "deserves" the death penalty as punishment. But Jesus died for our sins so we can live on and try to improve ourselves. That is basically just what the bible says. He doesn´t say that he himself thinks that every person on earth should be executed, and even if so, by none other than god.

As a Muslim, I don't see anything wrong with him following what his religion says or even preaching it. What happened to freedom of opinion and religion? plus the guest agrees with us more than he thinks lol Edit: Everyone thinks I'm allowing others to step on our religion and our beliefs, what I meant was that they don't see it as sacred or the truth hence it's pointless for us Muslims hoping for validation when we have different beliefs although we agree on few points. Surah Al Kafirun demonstrates my point completely and we should only seek validation from Allah (SWT).

@@kordei-7839 I guess some people would say he is a literalist as there are mostly things in the bible that are open to interpretation (by even orthodox christians) and have context behind them. But some of his views are very much traditional Christian which is fine and I respect his dedication despite being muslim myself.

Actually you don't need to always answer the question. You can move the conversation along. I used to be an RE teacher and Is be asked what my view was on abortion. I always said it was a deeply personal thing for a woman to decide for herself and men were entitled to an opinion too. But I wouldn't give my views.

A few years ago in my country, some parents raised a concern about teaching children about hell in religious class ( we have religion classes here, but parents can opt out ). Now the issue was framed that children should not know about hell becouse it is traumatic... they should be teached about doing good and stuff... the Christian teacher responded that this would make the class from a christian class to a secular morality class. You can not teach christianity without talcking about hell, sin and devils.

The notion that he would be a good interviewer is questionable. A good interviewer begins with the ability to put their own thoughts, opinions, beliefs and attitudes in check, if not out of the interview completely. Piers doesn't and has never exhibited that ability. His interviews are literally set-ups for him to project or insert his own biases.

If there was no clear indication about, or prior knowledge of, a learner's gender - Why so harsh on this teacher? Absolutely fed up with the alphabet people attempting to rule the world, expecting subservience from others. Furthermore, if radical Muslims have free reigns to influence learners at schools and universities (in many countries), I have absolutely no objection that this teacher stands up for his Christian beliefs. Has freedom of speech suddenly died?

I’m an agnostic gay man, but regardless of who I am or what his beliefs are, I think I would be correct in saying that he would teach me with as much dedication as he would teach any other student because he’s passionate about teaching and that’s commendable. He only shared his beliefs with a student because he had been asked about them. It’s not as if he’s preaching to his students.

It wouldn’t take much to just say to the student, “It is not appropriate for a teacher to discuss his personal views with a student.” I’m not sure that I would agree that gay people are particularly vulnerable, though my thoughts on that could just be a result of where I am from.

@@hugster2000 Teenagers can be horrendous people and so can bully others for a variety of reasons, sexuality being one of them. I’m not convinced that sexuality itself is a motivator to bully all that often. Not anymore, anyway. I think kids tend to pick something about a person that they think would sting the most and choose sexuality because it was the easiest branch to reach. I can only really base that on my own experience, though. I grew up in a place called Runcorn, about a 45 minute drive from Liverpool. It was notorious for bullying and crime. I was openly gay at school. Not once was I bullied on the basis of my sexuality. I was laughed at, sure, like everyone else, but I was never on the receiving end of any homophobic slur. To this day I have never experienced bullying because of who I am, and nor has anyone else I know to my knowledge. I understand, though, that anecdotal evidence is not evidence.

However, the god of the Quran is Father to no one. The God of the Bible loves the Jews and is Father to them but the god of the Quran (Allah) hates the Jews and has commanded the Muslims to fight and kill the Jews. The name of the God of the Bible is YHWH and this is name for all generations but the pagan Islamic god is Allah.
