Piers Morgan / Meghan Markle Controversy Analysis 

Here in the UK, I’ve been noticing he has been getting more and more combative in his interviews during our lockdown to the point it was hard to listen to him. I think he thought he was untouchable due to the shows great ratings... You don’t tell someone they weren’t suicidal when they tell you otherwise. There’s a fine line between criticism and bullying.

Piers Morgan spends hours trashing people, but he couldn’t stand being called out. That’s a shame! He talks about freedom of speech, but he can’t handle free speech from Alex.

He is OBSESSED with her. He is absolutely unhinged and enraged by her very existence. He spends hours on his show talking about her. He writes a newspaper column and it’s almost always about her. You would think she killed his mother and burned his home to the ground. It is extremely disturbing to see a person on television so consumed with anger and preoccupied by someone he barely even knows. I must wonder what his wife thinks of his fury over being “ghosted” by another woman. Piers Morgan is an appalling person and it is obscene that he is even accepted in polite society. When he was working for Rupert Murdoch, he was at the center of a scandal involving the hacking of people’s voicemails. He also published, fabricated images of British soldiers torturing prisoners in Iraq. He is a menace. Piers Morgan knows that serious royal girlfriends and fiancées get put in a cocoon by that family. They are not allowed to have friends in the press or speak to reporters without permission. He knows that but he just can’t seem to get past the fact that, in his mind, she rejected him (he’s married) for her now husband. He needs help.

When someone lies through their teeth consistently because they didn’t get special treatment like Markle I don’t feel the need to believe anything she says.

Piers Morgan is that guy who will ask u out, but even if he's kindly rejected...he'll responds with, " Well I think you're ugly anyway & I'm gonna tell you why I dont like you...!!"

Piers Morgan is a mercurial character. Dr. Grande is spot on about him. He can dish it out, but absolutely cannot take it.

Morgan is a misogynist. You always seem to overlook this trait, even when it's blatantly obvious. He has a problem with many women. He's not mad that she won't be his friend, he's mad that she wouldn't make herself sexually available to him. If you're truly being objective, this dynamic is very clear, and he's played it out multiple times, with several different women.

Something about his relentless attacks on her was beginning to come across as a stalker. Women who are stalked by exes or people who have fixations have killed women. The creepy stalker relentless attacks is very disconcerting, this is worrisome as women do face harm with characters like this man. I

Morgan is 55 years old and still stuck in his spoiled little brat phase. It's genuinely embarrassing.

I think the real reason he stormed off was he knew that he was going to be hauled over the coals for saying he didn't believe she was suicidal. There were 41,000 complaints and PM just thought, nah, can't be bothered pretending to be sorry, pretending to be grateful I have this job.

Hes been married since 2010, but referred to Megan as having ghosted him and that it hurt because he really liked her. After her marriage he continually trashes her. But he's married....I dont get it.

The thing with Meghan speaking on mental health. She is part of the wealthiest families on the face of the earth. These days the entire social media is like a “never ending war of opinions”. That’s one of the reasons I love your videos! There’s at least some attempt at objectivity and analysis based on facts and knowledge of the human mind

Thank you for your thoughtful analysis which I really appreciate . Given the relentless criticism from Pierce Morgan towards Megan. I wondered (beside the fact he is unforgiving about being 'ghosted' by her), if his vendetta is so powerful, it has become an obsession for him. He strive so hard to be relevant, he is ruthless and lacks any empathy when he speaks about her. Pierce is the one who clearly shows the narcissism, he accuses Megan of.

It’s wild he would be so sensitive at the idea of someone pointing out he had a “personal relationship” with her in the past when for a long while he absolutely would not shut up about it and frequently spoke of her like they were more than acquaintances. He said she was beautiful and smart and that it hurt his feelings when she wouldn’t keep in touch after meeting him once in person. And now with zero further interaction from her he’s pivoted to her being a gold digging social climber who uses people for her own financial and social gain... It has very “obsessively scorned creeper you had 1/2 of a garbage Tinder date with before you made an excuse to leave the bar then unmatched with them in the cab only for him to send you a novel on Facebook about you being ugly anyways” vibes.

No one is ever 100% correct, however, I feel like at least part of what Harry and Meghan are trying to communicate is that they have drawn a line in the sand where the press is concerned. As a mother I can imagine that Meghan pregnant and already caring for one small child feels panicked by the press and Harry as a child watched his mother literally hounded to death by the press; taking this into consideration their position is understandable. I don’t think they’re perfect or agree with all they have to say, but as a parent, and a parent who watched her own children loose their other parent while still children I am very sympathetic. Also, Pierce Morgan always has strong opinions; some of which I agree with, others I do not, but I have noticed going all the way back to his work with Simon Cowell, subsequently CNN and then British television that he lacks any objectivity as a journalist and has been a bully to many prior to Meghan Markle.

I was struck by the similarity of Piers when he was irate he talked about his ratings numbers much like DT. Clearly he is not over Meghan emotionally, and exhibits narcissistic behaviour being ghosted by her later when she went on a date with Harry. Piers is rich, powerful and has a media following much like DT...I’m sure it rankles... How dare she go out with him I am much better. DT once approached Princess Diana to go out with him...she found him distasteful, perhaps Meghan had the same feelings with Piers? Ego can be a big turn off.

Unfortunately, Meghan and Harry do come off as delusional. Just look at their recent move and choices. "I am having problems because of racism" so of course I will move to where that problem is worse. "I don't feel safe" so I'll move somewhere with lousy security. They said the RF were concerned about the color of the child, but everyone knew M was "mixed." A lot of what H & M said about the royal family doesn't really ring true. I question it highly and understand Pier's offense at it because it is likely a vicious lie. Piers doesn't like her because many people don't like being lied about and used. As much as I dislike Piers Morgan, the implication that disliking Markle makes him and anyone supporting him a racist, borders on the insane. Markle's problem is that she married ''the spare'' rather than the heir, making her a ''second stringer,;' monetizing the royal connection, which couldn't be done in Britain, was the next best strategy...and it seems to be working given their multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts with Netflix and Spotify. The number of staff who have quit on Meghan is rather telling; how people treat their underlings is a good indication of their character.

I grew up watching Diana all starry-eyed, naive in-love with Charles and how it all unfolded. Broke my heart and I grieved so much over her death. I feel so much for her boys, especially Harry as 2nd born, he's copped more criticism coz he wasn't in line and being trained like his brother. I think he saw in Meghan qualities like his mother, sensitivity, compassion, emotional expression and a more independent streak and he's seeing parallels with what happened with her too. Her security detail was cut- off also, yet she was still constantly under threat by the paparazzi harassment. Just because Diana and Meghan were 'taught' on an intellectual level what to expect from being a Royal and they felt like they understood and were prepared for the challenge for the sake of Love, it doesn't mean the reality ended up matching, that their expectations of their role and the Family fit the 'model' outlined and prepared for them. How many people have done University Degrees and think they're prepared to go out there in the real world and find the job doesn't match anything they expected and so much occurs that they were never trained for - especially Psychology and Counselling IRL! I think they're good for each other, even though I felt dubious about their relationship when they got together, somehow their differences are what each other needed to strengthen them. Why did Meghan and Harry feel the need to explain their departure in so many details to the entire world? They could have just left and privately lived their life together in America. But, since they've chosen to be public figures outside of the Royal Family, then they are going to have to take the criticisms that accompany that life. Here, Piers piggy backs on these loose relationships, say with the Royals or Rupert Murdoch. The psychological benefit? “I, Piers, I am one of them, special; not one of one of you.” Busting his bubble didn’t go down well.

I always find it interesting how many of the people like PM can dish it out but can't take it when it's dished back including the additional side of insight into why he might be so critical. I guess truth really can hurt and make you run away if you can't take it.

Dr. Grande, could you make a video reviewing the misleading/false statements Meghan made to Oprah during the interview? While I respect the work Meghan has done for the Windsors and in public service, I’m having a difficult time understanding why she’d say (or withhold) the things she did.

Thanks Todd. My awful parents and siblings always called me a liar in order to conceal their abuse. And to a surprise to no one, my mom and brother have attempted suicide multiple times only to have the rest of the family turn on them by insisting that they’re lying about their depression.
