This is a collection of photos taken over a few years. It starts at the entrance of the town and goes past the Friary Church and convent. It then passes through the pedestrian section which leads to the central square, Piazza Santissima Annunziata.
Piazza Annunciata is the central square of the Town of Pietrelcina.
Even in Padre Pio's time, activities went on here at the festas which took place during the year. The Parish Church looms above it and radiating out from it is Corso di Padre Pio where stalls are set up several times a year turning it into a lively hub of shopping or entertaining side-shows.
On normal days, it is the main road for cars and other vehicles coming into town. In his writing, Padre Pio mentioned how he loved these times.
