Messa davvero molto bella...
Extremely beautiful. Ernst Ludwig Gerber: " Pietro Pompeo Sales- A great master, who knew how to blend German precision with the elegance of Italian singing and with a wise treatment of the accompanying instruments." Ernst Ludwig Gerber - German composer, organist, cellist, and author of a famous dictionary of musicians (his father, Heinrich Nikolaus Gerber /1702-1775/, a pupil of J. S. Bach!
Facts, how A.Mozart was made a myth and a taboo: Determinant: y "Pietro Metastasio La Betulia liberata". We read the text: "La Betulia liberata (The Liberation of Bethulia) is a libretto by Pietro Metastasio which was originally commissioned by Emperor Charles VI and set to music by Georg Reutter the Younger in 1734. It was subsequently set by as many as 30 composers, including Niccolò Jommelli (1743), Ignaz Holzbauer (1752), Florian Leopold Gassmann (1772),[1] Joseph Schuster (1787), and most famously Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1771)". 30 composers composed, some of their La Betulia liberata were very popular, Mozart's was not performed at all. But they concluded: " most famously Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1771)". Who decided when and where? From 1950., until today, at least 20 of Mozart's La Betulia liberata were recorded, long composers were not recorded. Us ordinary listeners cannot hear those other Batulios - and compare them to Mozart's. We should take the creators of taboos and myths "at their word".
@@marianoalvesdemoraesmoraes2100 I knew about Pietro Pompeo Sales from music history, but I couldn't find any recordings of his music anywhere. Thanks to Pau NG we can hear: Veni Sancte Spiritus (he set: 2 years ago); Symphony in D-major (c. 1755) (he set: 3 years ago); and now: Missa Solemnis (c.1760). Many thanks to Pau NG for this wonderful music.
Stunning Mass with beautiful soul filling music and singing to the Lord with cheerful voices. I have never heard of this Italian composer before I see why Schubert thought highly of him and he must have been a serious rival to the big Vienna Classical and Romantic music composers Mozart and Schubert Masses perhaps this is better than theirs? ❤it !
