My grandma years ago: "Aww, look at that crow flying carrying its babies away." Me: "Grandma, crows don't carry their babies like cats carry their kittens. That crow is stealing your chicks!"
The reason custards are cooked in a water bath is to keep it from getting hotter than the boiling point of water. 212 df. Its a double boiler for the oven.
We are in the North West corner of NC. We got over 7” of rain in May and less than an inch this June. Could not believe our garden was still alive when we got back from 2 weeks of travel. ❤🍅🌽
That’s no guard goose, that’s a gosling who is just as defenseless as the chicks. I’ve had hawks kill goslings that size. Save only the nicest mature geese and they would actively fight off hawks.
@@Blancowhite7it is actually really good . A every creamier and tastier heavy cream. In Norway we have a dessert called fresh raw milk pudding . Sounds better than colostrum pudding. I think it’s basically the same thing. We serve it with berry sauce and fresh berries. Well after I saw it, I must say ours looks much nicer. That looked like badly scrambled eggs 😂 And we use the deadly enemy that horrible castor sugar 😂😂😂
We have been using the 10' tube man for a long -long time. We always keep a new extra tube man in case Dept. Chick (that's what we call tube man) goes down in a shoot out....lol
Can't tell you how "brilliant" I thot I was a few years ago when I came up with the tube man as scarecrow idea all by myself then found that many people do it. Best discoveries are ones completely validated by being the last one to know it's a good idea. lol
For the custard, try this, add vanilla + Limon our orange zest, to that mixture and more Honey. Cook over low heat, until it starts to thicken. Then put it on small bowls, and place them in the oven until they ready. Bon appetit. 🇵🇹🇵🇹
I think it was a Cooper's Hawk. Germany does not have Cooper's Hawks. A "bussard" in German is more akin to our Red Tail Hawk, from the genus Buteo. A Cooper's Hawk is in the genus Accipiter.
@@anjaschubert4086 Are you falconer? I am not, but I have read a lot books on the topic. I think it was either a Cooper's Hawk or a Sharp-shinned hawk (both in the genus accipiter).
Good on you for getting fresh Colostrum; it has many benefits and thats why breast milk is rich in it. I would suggest maybe not heating the milk up; milk this fresh is unlikely to need to be heated and you are baking it anyways. The double heat is likely to neutralize many of the health benefits. Not medical advice obviously; do as you see fit for your family.
Everyone who is constantly nitpicking the production of this VLOG!!! (It's a freaking vlog) is missing out on enjoying the process, learning and growing with the Rhodes' and crew. Nothing is perfect. 🤫 Pipe Down!!!
Hey to the community. My family and I ventured into backyard chickens for the first time this spring. We only got 5 from tractor supply. Unfortunately, they gave us the wrong chicken and we have raised a rooster as a pet.😊 I need to find him a new home. Do any of you know how I can do that? We live in the triad area of NC. Any sites where I can list him would be much appreciated. I tried fb marketplace but they told me I wasn't allowed to list him.
It was Gideon spitting it back in the pan that got me.. NOPE! Austin I wish someone better suited than I could recommend some music lol... Not trying to be mean.. just something easy that we can all enjoy!
I’m certain that the Rhodes don’t read comment but do any of you folks know where I can get the same mug that Rabecca uses with that cool wood lid with the straw?
Lots of folks these days don't like custard. Theyre used to other processed foods. I always enjoyed custard. It was one of the few things that didn't cramp my stomach. Looks good, Justin. I definitely like mine slightly sweeter. Lol. All those rocks removed from pasure and added to creekbank or "walls" are free supplies...only labor is required. 😅
Agreed. The music has been pretty bad for awhile now. The music is too short, too loud, and obviously free music. Today's music just doesn't really go with farm footage.
The colostrum custard would make my stomach cramp. Too much fat for me. Funny that the kids won’t eat it. That hawk was very brazen with the turkeys. The goose is not doing a good job.
Maybe if He quit calling it colostrum custard, or stud muffin burgers the kids might want to eat it. He talks to much. Just keep quite and serve the food. If they eat it they eat it but if they don't, they don't. Just let them eat calmly and quite.
They have no problem with stuff muffin burgers. They were raised this way. They have no issue with what he calls it. If they don’t like the taste they just don’t like it.
It's not your channel therefore you don't have the right to complain about it it's their Channel they can do whatever they want with it hint it while it's called their Channel stop complaining about other people's property it ain't yours go do something else if you don't like this channel unsubscribe and go find something else you like the negativity is unreal leave Justin and his family alone and leave their editor Austin alone
Get black chickens. Hawks and eagles hate crows. Crows torture hawks and eagles. If you have black chickens in with your babies, the hawks and eagles will think there are crows in there and leave them alone.
Get a camera Justin I can’t believe u don’t have them on ur property U have kids and live around animals lol get a camera dude lol so u can what doing it
