I feel like this should be base. I always liked the idea of having different killers change the objective. No gens just the traps. It’s like a different game mode

For some insight of the match, HappySchniblie was left to die on 2nd hook not because we failed to coordinate for the rescue, but because he literally had no time left on his RBT to search his last box(es), meaning that him hanging on the hook till the last second was the best move, since any hits taken to rescue him would fall counter-productive due to his guaranteed death seconds afterwards. And funnily enough, I (the Jake) was almost 99 (70-80%) on heal on the time Otz pointed out that maybe committing to me was potentially dangerous for the same reason. The best moment to take me out was when I was still in need of taking my trap off, after my second unhook, but in that scenario maybe Happy would have been able to get his trap off and not get checkmated like he was.

I really like the add-on combo you all tested in the second game, seems to be spicy and also a good slowdown as soon as the first gen is done. Great job as always!

Am I the only one who thinks that, by the wording of the addon, you’re still going to have your 4 usual bear traps to place on people in addition to the ones at the start? Or has this been de-confirmed by a dev or something

I have a doubt. The addon doesn't say it takes your base kit beartraps, soo technically you should have 8 traps in total by default(4 installed and 4 in hand). Maybe im reading wrong or they should clarify that in the addon

testing this with the best pig against the worst survivors will not deliver accurate results.

I'm a pig main and I have to say, I really like this change, it's a bit like replacing corrupt intervention that I personally like to drop for lethal pursuer frequently for faster action.

I'd be pretty disappointed if the Video Tape actually takes away your base traps. 1. That's just bad clarity, other add ons say that they reduce the number of traps why cant this add on 2. It takes your power and removes all of your control and gives it to the survivors 3. It gives survivors control of your power at the start when you as killer have the least amount of pressure. 4. Creates a further power divide between swf and solo players. This add on will just be worse than running base kit. Will basically be bad corruption intervention 90% of the time.

Otz are you totally sure Boon Totems should be permanently destroyed after one stomp? I mean that seems kind of harsh since all boon perks are tied to one totem, and survivors can't protect them at all and they have to be set up. Maybe there is a middle around between infinitely reblessable and gone in one stomp.

boon totems should be restricted either 2 uses per game for each survivor or 4 total as a whole team imo

No base kit buff, but I'm honestly just happy pig is getting buffed at all. And the Boi Trapper. But the best thing about this update is spirit getting her brainless "mind game" bs NERFED. Feels good

Something to keep in mind is that while using the real add-on, when you can actually use it, Pig will keep all her reverse bear traps on top of the four they start with.

I literally always have to do a trap searches. I honestly thought you had to do all of them to remove the bear trap, that’s how bad my luck is with the pig

It feels unfair that Hexes are a one time use and Boons can be reapplied. Imo boons should only work on dulls and the totem should vanish when the killer kicks it.

Would a build entirely focused on slowing down gens using this addon be quite strong? Things like Ruin, Pop, etc, the usual. Since it already makes gens more difficult, needing remove this trap first or at least very quickly makes it even more so dangerous

This is similar to an idea i had for a complete pig rework. All survives start with a trap on their heads and keep it on the entire match. It functions like pinhead or freddys meter, after a timer it starts ticking and needs to be reset individually for every survivor. It no longer has a total time countdown until head snap, but you periodically need to reset it at any one of the boxes. Might be a bit map dependent and need balancing, but would thematically make you feel like your playing a Saw Game, and not just wearing a hat for a few minutes.

I can see lethal pursuer would be good for a lot of pressure at the start, maybe? (With the new addon of course.)

assuming they are wanting to keep their new addon descriptions more clear, im assuming the iri addon will give her basically 4 additional ones as there is no mention of removing her base 4? otherwise this feels like a really bad addon for her, sure she has strong start but once survivors get those traps off she be pretty weak

I think it should have a cutscene before the game starts, showing the pig installing the trap on your head than you escape and enter the trial, when using this type of add-ons.

They could make it that to bless a Hex, you have to bless it twice. Once to remove the hex but keep the totem intact, and then once more to put the blessing onto the new dull totem. Then the killer would hear both the Hex breaking audio cue and the follow-up boon totem activation audio cue. Would be a little less confusing for the killer, and would force the survivors to waste a bit more time if they want to bless a Hex. Even with this the boons seem a bit strong at the moment, but it would be a good start.

Boon Totems are disgustingly overpowered as I predicted they’d be. The fact survivors can just keep re-applying is awful, especially with that stupid healing circle that can hold the game hostage.

Does the add-on remove those 4 traps from Pigs inventory? Your test made Pig have 0 hats left, that is a big deal.

I have a proposition for the devs. Pig is still very weak, so I would honestly look into some way of buffing her. All in all, nerf Pig.

Would it be overkill if you keept the four rbt as well? Still, why stop at the traps, and why not bring the saw franchise, to full bloom? Trapped chests, lockers, hooks, gens you know, make the pig fiddle with some limited objects, like the hags runes, and makes her trap the lockers, like when the Charlotte brother traps you in the box, and a qte pops, and you have to nail the trigger or if you trap the chests, a loud jumpscare pop out making you do qte, fails it makes it lock for a short while, while giving you a notification it got open, or with some hooks, you have to manually mash so you can unhook, but if you mess up, you can get hurt and put you in injured state...

Really don't think that being able to keep 4 rbts to attach onto people during the match would make this perk op at all. right now its really bad. It gets rid of all your slowdown the entire game for what like 2 mins of slowdown at the begging? Putting on the addon right now is kinda like just running a slow ghostface who can stalk with corrupt. The tapes traps are at the start of the match so they are unactivated. There would be no lethality to the rbts at the beginning (unless you're doin gens with rbt but thats kinda just stupid). Since thered be no threat of the bear traps themselves instead of acting as conventional rbts (Less incentive to do gens rather than search since your on a death timer) the beginning 4 would act as nerfed bear traps (Less incentive to do gens like the first on but no lethality while you search at all). The beginning 4 would be more of just a really good slowdown at the start and then not useful for the rest of the match. Right now its just really a hindrance since you get rid of ALL of your slowdown and lethality which really is the only thing pigs got going for her. If you keep the 4 rbts on you aswell as on the survivors then itd be like corrupt on an addon slot. Really powerful but not op since you get rid of a perk slot you could switch in to make your attachable rbts better like amandas letter.

I don't care if it isn't a particularly great add-on, it's the fact that it makes it just like the Saw movies (Or games even lol). Thematically it's so cool and this can be paired with some of her other add-ons for fun shenanigans. In my opinion, iridescent add-ons should be one of two things: 1. Completely change the game/killers usual play style in a fun and or thematic way or 2. Just be really powerful I can't stand iridescent add-ons that do neither.

Why don't they just make this base? It makes Pig so much stronger and have one of the best early games. Yeah, she's going to be powerful, but not unfair to play against because Survivors actually have to do gens to get the traps active. Not only that, but thematically it just makes so much sense for Amanda's character. I'm going to be using this add-on VERY often.

You know what? They should have this be her base ability if she’s gonna only have her base kit be a sneaky crouch attack… (trap timer happening way after you SEE all the traps is just bad game design.) Not too sure about invisible keybox auras, but, it wouldn’t be oppressive if survivors [meters] near it revealed it to their peers permanently.

The new addon will probably be a solo queue stomper. Isn't that big a deal on higher MMR, might slow the game down enough to replace corrupt and allow the pig for a more creative build than the current standard issue killer builds. For the lower MMR games though, with less effective, or 0 comms it might be a bit of a headache, causing survivors to queue for box searches and/or allowing some nasty pig plays to score an early kill. The addon is in theme, and it should be mostly alright, the main problem will come from disliked playstyles, not the power of the addon.

It looks solid, the RNG is still in pigs favor. Your gonna get X time of probably 1-2 survivors who just can't do gens because they didn't get box on first try. Best case they straight up die worse case you had corrupt intervention for no perk slot.

Honestly I'd kinda like if they added coms to the game so swf wasn't a random guess if they had that info. Keep the information perks for those who don't wanna chat but balance stuff more around that, both killer and survivor wise. I mean swf is basically 4+ perks on its own. Like say the traps being invisible could be a natural, non add on thing if communication was available for pig.

Loved this video but I do agree with others, this should be base kit, I don't think it would make Pig OP at all, I don't even think it would make her a top tier killer but i do think it would make game play a lot more fun, less camping and tunneling and more running around ambushing and putting pressure, having addons which allow you to have traps on top of the 4 pre applied would also be really strong, personally I think there should be an addon which randomly activates traps outside of gen completion to really spice things up. I don't think that would be OP but I do think it would help with the pigs pressure mid/late game. Much like trappers iri addon to reset traps every 30 seconds, pig activates a random trap every 2 minutes, or once per trial.

The 2 add-ons on huge maps or maps with the boxes difficult to find like Red Forest/Swamp/RPD/Hawkins, gonna be oof

When you bring undying alongside another hex and a totem gets blessed.. does it always remove undying first, or can it get the hex you're trying to protect?

The real question is why in the world would you disable something on the build designed to test the game? I honestly think BHVR employees are suffering from a shared hallucination or psychosis or something. How else could a group of adults consistently make such awful decisions?

I love the saw movies so honestly I find this add on and character cool. I think the different ways of pairing it could be just a fun game play mechanic. maybe not a meta add on but it could alter how survivors choose to play

That addon is fundamentally flawed, why would you want EVERYONE doing jigsaw boxes when you can only target one? Bad addon in my opinion

They obviously were great survivors. If you had a team that weren't communicating well or just weren't very good, the add-on could become devastating.

I don't get why they think boon totems the way they currently are, are a good idea. They can just reapply to the same bones over and over, while killer Hex Totems are just a one time deal. Beyond that, the new iri addon seems to just replace Pig's mid game with an early game. Lethal Pursuer might be good with it, but it just doesn't feel that good to trade the ability to pick and choose the trap, versus 4 people start with inactive traps.

People that plays pig and camps the reverse beartrap box is garage when a survivor trying to take off the trap and barely gets off the hook the killer tunnels right away like no need to be a tryhard just to stay at rank 1 it's called gaming and having fun no need to get close to the TV and turn on you're nerd mode on 😂 and panic and worrying about losing a pip 💯 only killers will get mad about my comment 😂
