Hello?" *The bartender turns to look at the human, taking a few seconds to study him and his oddly colored armor* 'Who might you be. Surely you know how dangerous it is around here! *snort*' "I actually was exploring the nether... looki-" *the bartender would cut you off* 'Nether. Is that what you call it? Ha! What are you, 13?' *all the piglins in the bar would start laughing at you, and then stop a few seconds after* "I-" 'Hush. So, why are you really here... and more importantly, why did you think it was smart to come in here without wearing any gold.' *He'd chuckle to himself, and unsheathe his gold sword* 'I recommend you start running. That is, if you want to live' *You'd pull out a diamond sword, matching your armor* 'That strange material again? What even is it. There's nothing like it here!' "Diamond." *You say with confidence* "It's diamond... far better than your gold and leather" 'So be it. However, do you think you can still beat all of us?' *the other 60-70, you don't really have enough time to count, so all the other piglins unsheathe their swords as well, and start charging at you, as the bartender would sit behind the counter, watching them* *They would get you down to about 4 hearts, though you have taken out several of their men* *You would pull out a golden apple to heal, and almost instantly, they would stop attacking* 'Woah woah woah... so you DO have gold on ya?' "Indeed I do. About 23 piglins have I already slain. How much more are you willing to risk" 'Now hold on... I'll cut you a deal, howza bout it?' "I'm listening." 'The gold, or your life. Alright? The ghasts will be here pretty soon. So you better hurry up' *you would put 3 of your gold ingots in your hand, leaving the rest in your backpack, attempting to trick them* "Here, all my gold." *You drop the three ingots on the ground* *Three piglins would inspect them, one each* 'And the apple, come on pal, I'm pretty sure you don't have all day.' *you would put the apple on the ground and back away* 'Good. Your free for now. But don't expect us to be so forgiving next time' *all of them would thrust their swords up into the air, yelling 'AYET!' In unison* *You still had lost your way back to your portal, and you didn't get your answer from the "Pig People" as to if they knew where it may be located* "Great..." *You let out a sigh, and wonder where it could've gone* (50 likes and I'll make a continuation. just leave a reply when I get there) (Edit: spelling and grammatical corrections) Continuation: *You continue to walk around the nether, wondering which way to go. You hadn't made lodestone yet, and your compass was spazzing out.* *Up ahead you see something you've never seen before. It looked like a player.* *You rush to the other player, in hopes of getting help on your journey home* "HEY!!! OVER HERE!!" *you yelling has grabbed the other player's attention. The player looked at you, curiosity filling it's entire being* "Hey, do you know where a portal is?" 'No clue bud, I know where a portal once was though, would that work?' *you look at him with a look of confusion* *what did he mean 'once was', how did it break?* "Sure, I have some obsidian I guess, does it have three pieces in already?" 'Indeed it does' "Thank you, whi-" 'I'm coming with you' "wait what-" 'I. am. coming. with. you.' "..." 'I have been stuck here for months, with no obsidian, I want out.' "Alright, I suppose that wouldn't be a problem! 'Good' *the player would lead you on the path to a ruined portal 2-3 thousand blocks away* *the long walk gives you time to talk* "So, I'm Burkhd172, who are you?" 'I'm GameKnight999. Nice too meet you!' "You too! I feel like I recognize you from somewhere..." 'I have my own book series, maybe that's why?' "Possibly" 'The addition of the book and quill is a great thing they added, really lets time fly when your writing.' "oh... alright..." *You bridge through the lava and go up to the ruined portal* *You start filling the gaps in the portal frame, but a drop of a strange purple liquid interrupts* *the strangely colored liquid burns through your shoe like acid, and burns your foot extremely badly* "ÆGH" 'yea, careful with that. you may want to mine that first. That's crying obsidian. years of going through the abuse from the weather had made it lost it's ability to form a portal, and has broken the stone to bits. It's amazing it's kept it's shape!' "Oh! Alright." *with that, you mine the crying obsidian, replace the block, and light the portal* *the other player would go through the portal, and seconds before you got all the way through, a ghast's fireball destroyed the portal* *looks like you're out of luck again* 150 likes for the next part. LETS KEEP THE TRAIN GOING! *You’ve been looking around the nether for days now, you’ve went over your tracks time and time again, and don’t know where else to look* “This has been going on way too long now…” *a few hundred blocks in front of you, there is a building you recognise* “The bastion.” *Unsure of whether you should go back in or not, you decide to walk in circles* “If I go in again, I’ll need gold… That's for sure.” . . . “Let’s just get this over with I guess” *you would start strip mining for gold, and after a few hours you have enough gold nuggets for 35 pure gold bars* “Great! I won’t bother making armor, but I wouldn’t mind finally buying one of their potions.” *With that, you set off to the bastion, wearing your improved netherite armor that you’ve gained from being in the nether for so long* “Hello..?” *The bartender would look up from behind the counter* ‘Hey…’ “Where did everyone go?” ‘You scared ‘em all away…’ “Oh… I-” ‘What did you expect to happen…’ “Definitely not that!” ‘Well your ‘plan’ didn’t work did it pal’ “I suppose not…” *a moment of silence goes by* “Hey… you got a potion left in the back?” *the Piglin Bartender would look up, a sparkle of hope in his eyes* ‘You mean you’ll actually buy it?’ ‘You mean you’ll actually buy a drink?!’ *his face would be ecstatic, yet you don’t seem to know entirely why* ‘I, heh… Excuse me, I needn’t act so excited... You see, I just haven’t had any customers since you left 2 months ago!’ “I’m so sorry, but of course I will. What's the price” ‘Well.. normally it’s 2 gold nugge-’ “I’ll give you 23 gold bars” ‘Wait whaaaa-’ *His face is filled with shock, yet you can tell he’s extremely happy* *after a few seconds he would snap out of it* ‘A-Alright! What drink?’ “I’ll let you choose, whatever one is easiest for you to make.” ‘Alright! You sure?’ “Of course!” ‘Fire-Res is it then!’ *You can tell he’s visibly excited* *a long, tall, vantablack colored man with purple eyes would appear next to you* “Oh! Long ago, a species of sentient pigmen lived in the overworld, they were the ones who created the original schematics for villages (only recently has a better model been created), however they soon got outcompeted by the vilager species. The pigmen would flee to the nether, and trough evolution they would trade their higher tought skills (unnecessary) for impossibly long lives (in a zombified fashion) Now that the nether has developed new resources allowing for complex societal development, the zombie pigmen have a reason to evolve into a smarter form, but due to incresed variety in threats, the old pigmen form would not suffice, they needed a more hardy form: the Piglin You’d think that after a society has been created it would take a while to create its own sense of “fashion”... ...BUT NOPE, LESS THAN A YEAR AND THEY ALREADY HAVE GOLD MONOCLES AND CLASSY SUITS AND HAT N’ SHIT
