@@bencarvosso3691 thanks mate it is a stunning place 🙂 as is most of scotland the scenery,s beautiful the fishfinder setup is an ammo box with the bracket screwed onto the lid with a small 12v battery inside and a transducer mounting bracket spot on for a days fishing 👌😊

Another great video Sean you you can tell that pike fishing is your passion and catching a big fish is just a bonus for you. You seem to enjoy it whether you catch a jack or a 20. Sardine seems to outfish everything else for me. When I'm settled in a swim I usually use chopped up thawed out chunks of old Sardine as a kind of groundbait/chum. It seems to draw fish into the area more often than not. I'm heading out to a newish venue today. Only fished it once so will hopefully get a fish or @ least learn something from the hours I put in.

Thankyou paul your very kind 🤝🙂 your absolutely right i love pike of all sizes big pike dont always come along so its nice to enjoy the smaller ones 👍🙂 sardines are a great bait,really oily using the chunks for groundbait is a great idea 👏 get out there mate n hopefully a fish or two will turn up but if not just enjoy the day 👍 good luck mate 🎣🤞😊

@@luredbyesoxthanks mate hope you get back out soon with another video.Years ago I caught my first big double in a slow running river by using a tiny dead perch with a running swim feeder. I filled the swim feeder with cotton wool that had been soaked in a tin of sardines. Since that day whenever I pike fish I always use sardine in one form or another. I've had plenty blanks don't get me wrong but I'm much more confident with sardine than any other bait and I always use it as an attractant even if Its not my main bait.

@@paulstares48 cheers mate yes well be out soon maybe a reservoir its a good tactic baiting up the swim with bits it cant do any damage the scent will draw them in i always inject a bit of oil into my baits as youve probably seen in previous videos 👍😊 in my head it always makes the difference doesnt always work but it certainly tips the scales in your favour 🙂

@luredbyesox got a wee fat jack today about 7 or 8lb was a short fish but it was well built. Looked like it had been feeding well and gave a good scrap for its size so I think it'll be worth going back. I find reservoir's tough places to fish but I do know some of them hold monsters so hopefully you can get 1 or 2 mate. Tight lines

Thankyou simon 👍🙂 the conditions were pretty much perfect but the lake was fishing difficult a lot of people struggled so we were very happy to have found a few fish 😊 thanks for watching mate 🤝🙂

Hi alan and thankyou for watching it is a stunning place with some huge fish living there 😊 the deadbait rod i was using that day is a henk simonz 10ft 3.5lb test curve the reel is a shimano ultegra 14000 loaded with 95lb powerpro braid but anything similar will do 👍🙂 the lure rod is a westin monster stick and a shimano tranx loaded with 90lb diawa braid its expensive stuff but you can do it on a budget welcome to pike fishing 🤝🙂 if you have any questions please feel free to ask 👍 and tight lines alan 😊
