@@anotherangleUK were glad you enjoyed the video 😊 its really important to us to get feedback to help the channel grow 👍 good or bad for example people said they didnt like shorts because they clogged up their feed....so we scrapped them thank,s mate 🤝🙂
@@luredbyesox I didn't get feedback from viewers. I just felt they didn't fit with my channel. I'm retired and the age profile of my subscribers is similar. Shorts seem to be a younger age group thing - quick views on smartphones. I prefer to bring the view along for the whole adventure. That's why I like your channel.
@@luredbyesox definitely. Great video by the way. Good food and awesome fish care. I have just renewed my Leeds ticket and plan on fishing that peg in the next few weeks having just fished the Nidd stretch at Monkton a couple of weeks ago.
@@ellis350 brilliant mate im sure you,ll get into a couple 🤞 their,s a lot of pegs to go at mate you,ll have a good chance in most swims i think that swim gets fished a lot so be prepared to move if now,ts happening good luck pal let us know how you get on 👍🙂
@@rockdogization thank,s pal we were thinking with it being too warm for pike we,d switch to barbel 🙂👍 we always try our very best to show good fishcare 😊 catherine loves her barbel fishing 👌🙂 thanks again for your kind words mate 🤝🙂
Best angling entertainment on RU-vid!! 😀 you two have a wicked sense of humour as well as your exemplary fish care and culinary Bacon banjo skills 😎👍 top effort folks keep em coming 😁
@@iainbriggs7963 😆🤭 cheers iain we love taking the mick out of eachother but your exactly right the fishcare is so important to us and to show 👍🙂 that bacon banjo though oooh 😋😋 cheers buddy 🤝🙂
@@iainbriggs7963 exactly mate 😆👌 plenty of fish, bit a bank fodder, catherines top tips and some bait talk n banter all packed into one video should get 50k view,s 🤣🤣 no chance 😆 we love it though 🤘😎
My pod does the exact same catch’s the handle on tightening up to lead ! Don’t forget to bungee the bottom down to a tent leg them barbel will rag it in otherwise!😂!
@@billyaces5397 its a design flaw in my opinion it should have been ironed out in testing 🤔 still a cracking bit of kit though! 👌 im gonna pin it down next time im on the trent coming soon 😉🤘😎 we did have the bait runners set but i know what you mean mate 🤭😆 they are savage takes 🤘😎👌
Hello mate the alarms i use for all of my specimen fishing are delkim,s and the reel,s we use are diawa black widow,s with the baitrunner on 👍😊 fantastic reels 👌🙂
Really good advert for Yorkshire Ouse, fantastic river, great explanation of tackle, never used PVA before so found that interesting, extremely enjoyable, look forward to your next adventure, tight lines !
It is a fantastic river you just never know whats in there! Catherine had an ide whilst tip fishing for barbel last week never had one from the river before! Pva can be deadly at times just a small parcel of bait is enough to get a bite 👍🙂
@@gruff77 thanks gruff 🤝😊 fishcare,s really important for us to show if young anglers are watching that want to fish for barbel..! Or any other species of fish for that matter we need to try and show the proper way to care for our precious catch 👍🙂
lovely vlog only ever caught a small barbei on a pond but they fight love to target them on rivers they say Trent, seven and ouse bet river ones are cracking Jewson's good shop so is hudderfield angling center its only small but you get a cupper lovely people go so you always have a chat . like your vlog Sean Catherine info always good they are so watchable ta to thee both

Really happy to hear your enjoying the content we put out 😊 it gives us both a massive boost to keep on posting videos when we know people love watching them so thankyou paul honestly it means a lot 🙂
Your fish care is exemplary and a great advert for fishing in general. I first watched your channel for the pike content, but I've enjoyed your other videos and you've both shown that you are very competent in all angling disciplines. Like some of the useful tips 👍 keep them coming.
Thanks for following our channel richard 🤝😊 fishcare is always top of our list of priorities and we always try to show that in our videos 👍 its very kind of you to mention that thankyou 🤝🙂
i snapped my int knee ligament on new years day - still not healed - how long did yours take - mine was also fishing injury - jumped up for a take and left foot flew off wet wooden platform and felt bang pop in right knee.
@@dpmaspam 😮😵💫 ouch mate that sounds bloody painful docs said ive pulled the ligaments in the top of my right knee cap really struggled to drive home its not so bad now but keeps giving me a bit of pain 👍🙂
This is why it’s called fishing and not catching…..nice river carp though. I love the camper van, is it a NV200 base vehicle? Compact and go anywhere. 👍👍
It was a cracking fish and very welcome too mate lovely fish 👌🙂 weve just got the camper and your absolutely spot on mate its a nissan nv200 we love it at some point this winter im hoping to get up to the caladonian canal by the kelpies and do some lure fishing 🤞 i hav,nt forgotten 😉
I had a tour up the length of the Caledonian canal and the lochs this spring time. Fished ( only for pike ) for many hours and caught only one. Scotland is the place to be with your camper van for fishing.
@@jamesross1799 🤣🤣 don,t ever take her catfishing 🤣🤣 or bream fishing 😆😆 she doesnt have to touch em she could just be there with you 🤞🤞🙂 maybe im just super lucky that catherine enjoys it too 👌😊
Only ever had 2 river carp both while after barbel a low double on the Calder at Wakey and a high single on the Don. To be honest I was bloody annoyed with the one on the Calder i honestly thought I was into a fat lazy slow old barbel a big one with no umph like most barbel have.
@@jamesross1799 their seems to be a load coming out of that stretch i fished on the trent to be honest i thought it was a sluggish old barbel too but it was a welcome fish at the time but i get you 👍 if your fishing for barbel you don,t want to catch a chub or a carp worst still a snotty 😄
Never fished the trent but its on my to do list. I spent opening day on the wharfe at Boston Spa and had 4 barbel up to 8lb 4 it was undoubtedly my most "glorious 16th .
Great Video.... 1. LMAB Drunk Dancer 2. Ali Epress 23cm Ribbed grey shad (45Kg Catfish from The Rhine - Waldshut-Tiengen) Zeck BIG BOSS STL rod and Citrix 364 Baitcatster. 3. Zeck Crayfish Chartruse 4. Silver Spoon with Red Wool 5. Fire-tiger Shad 13cm ZECK
Thanks iain it was a bit of a head scratcher having never fished a tidal river before think i was starting to figure it out just as i was about to come home but i,ll definetly be back on the trent very soon 🤝🙂
@@luredbyesox what a Carp though!!! As a fellow Yorkshire bloke I look forward to watching you and your good Lady’s films more than any on RU-vid 👍 bet Catherine is bagging up on four pound Perch while you are away 😆😆😆 cracking job
@@iainbriggs7963 😆🤭 she,s had a bigger perch than me 🤘😎 it always gives us a lift when we get comments like that mate so thankyou from both of us 🤝😊 it was a lump of a river carp tho 🤘😎
@@Cavanpikefishing thankyou weve just bought our camper and we love it 👌🙂 a bit of comfort right on the banks of the trent, chuffed to bits with the fish and im definetly going to go back 🤘😊
I have always wanted to fish the trent but i have also always been daunted by it. Not knowing where to start or where at fish, who owns what and where. Did you fish a day ticket stretch or was it part of a holiday park.
It can be a daunting river to tackle but dont be put off its an awesome river with some big fish in,i mixed it up when i went the campsite i stayed at had fishing with it but i also paid to fish a stretch further upstream look up foxcovert fisheries river trent pegs its £6 a day but you can night fish it for £15 hope this helps mate 👍
@@luredbyesox thats great thanks - ill prob contact you again nearer the time i start to plan. it does look like a fantasy river - 20lb salmon, 20+ river carp wow.
@@stuw21 it was a struggle to be honest mate that was the biggest fish to come off that stretch all week 😄 i,ll be back on the trent soon though mate i wont be beaten 🤘😎
@@James-bristol is it your first visit james? If so you,ll love it 👌😎 i just get the feeling their,s pb,s to be had in that river 🤞 is suppose in a way ive already had a pb on my first trip! Never had a river carp 👌
Lovely to see you lovely river we bet you realy loved it the mighty Trent big grow in there love the footage you never no what's there all the best to you hope all the family are ok take care our good friends
Thanks bobby my personal opinion is its a good thing down here as it gives the fish time to spawn away from angling pressure as you say mate in scotland things are slightly different 👍🙂
Love the video it's good to see you both the rivers will be good now and my husband might do a bit see how he feels there some very big pike in our local canal any way great fishing take care our friends
Thanks mate we had a great laugh wi the perch cup 😄 i had to rub it in a bit 🤭🤣 but i was really hoping she would catch a big un her pb perch is bigger than mine 😄 take care pal n tight lines 🤝🙂
Thankyou james thats very kind of you 🤝🙂 we love getting out on the bank rain snow or sun we just love it im hoping to do a lot more content for the channel in the future tight lines for the new season and beyond 👍😊
Thanks Jason. We found a new canal as the one closest to us is small and chocolate at the best of times! Hope the river season is kind to you - tight lines buddy.
Made perfect sense to me really disappointing when see people dead and live baiting in summer months these people need educating but sadly some cultural differences can make this difficult encounter
It is dissapointing lee your absolutely right 👍 i try my best to promote good fish welfare in a positive manner hopefully if we all spread the word things may change im forever hopeful 👍🙂
