This run features a few new tricks:
Yellow onion skip: on day 3, we perform a OOB walk to exit the yellow onion cave without growing 20 yellows. This also saves time because there is no yellow onion merging cutscene. Yellows are not needed for the rest of the run!
Wraith bombs: we collect bombs in the formidable oak cave section, and use them to defeat the wraith very quickly. -- Watch live at / jhawk4

Is this new strait only possible in Deluxe? Or is it possible for the original version to pull this off too?

If talking about yellow onion skip, then yes! The glitch was originally discovered in 3U and only just now was it proven to be faster

For anyone confused on which gamemode this is, this is on normal mode, the amount of bomb rocks you get from the pile are 3 instead of 2 (for hard and spicy mode) and there's more e g g

Seeing as how this is now about 5 minutes faster than the Wii U version, I was wondering what version differences lead to this better time? As a casual viewer, most of the route seems similar minus some skips being performed differently so I was wondering where the 5 minutes came from.

Charge is much more accessible for simple tasks, enemies have around half health, nectar is much more abundant, all controls can be done with one controller not two, and I’d imagine forcing runners to learn new routes actually found routes that were faster than the ones on the wiiu

But yeah half health enemies means boss fights in half the time and more nectar means faster pikmin carrying and more pikmin available quicker

I wonder if there is a way to skip brittany entirley The only way I can think of is to figure out how to get the bridge to the mawdads lair built without her If we do manage this the game probably wouldnt like it...

I know it’s never happening but a remastered pikmin 1 and 2 would be exquisite. But really a port would be amazing. Pikmin all-stars. I’d pay 60 bucks for that honestly
