Pikmin 3 (No Deaths) - Part #14: Formidable Oak (Days 19, 20) 

this will forever be my fav ending to a pikmin game. pikmin 4 was cool and i liked the last cave, but trying to keep olimar away from the plasm wraith while also trying to find a way out was so fun. it genuinely stressed me out and i felt like the giant dog wasn't as much of a threat. i beat it my first time and for the plasm wraith it took a while

Let’s be honest; we all hated this boss at one point.

After beating the plasm wraith I had a nightmare that it was following me wherever i went, with this creepy music playing the whole time! I was teleporting to different places, including my room, like a fast travel system in a video game trying to get somewhere safe but every time it would reappear and the music would kick in again. I remember crawling through my landing and looking up to see the wraith crawling along the ceiling after me! 😭😨

No matter if im playing, the Chase song is always Stressful.

This is SO difficult even when using this amazing guide!! I'm currently playing the deluxe and I promise you the monster is much faster this time around. I really have to pay attention 😭

The Formidable Oak wasn't used to being my favorite. But now it is! It is such as like the Submerged Castle. Because. The Plasm Wraith reminds me of the Water Wraith when you make the Water Wraith appear in the Castle... As it chases you around... Unfortunately, the only thing is that the Plasm Wraith chases you by FORCE and only the Water Wraith chases you by a Time Limit. I also love the singing from the Pikmin when you take too long to enter.

Gotta say, the plasm wraith gave me such a headache in the deluxe version i pretty much rage quit pikmin 3. Haven't been back to finish it since.

If you have 20 of each Pikmin, they will sing the Pikmin 3 theme.

This guy is an absolute Pro at pikmin games. He is just so good and gives helpful tips.

I'm so glad they kept going with the waterwraith. This is by far one of the coolest things I've seen out of this game series.

What if those monsters you kill aren't being eaten by the Plasm Wraith? What if they're just false recreations made by the wraith?

Sad it didnt make a return in pikmin 4 but the new final boss is sick! I think it can even take on the plasm wraith no problem

I DIDN'T REALIZE YOU COULD END YOUR DAY MIDWAY AND THEN GO BACK??? I've been pushing so hard to try to make my way through this stupid tree all in one go, I've had to restart god knows how many times because even after realizing I should keep the squads separate and make Britany run in a circle I still get caught up or mess up a bunch, hoping to beat this level soon because I'm so over it, everything else before this has been so easy and this is a pain in the butt, the farthest I've made it in one day is past the second spider after the bridge in the mushroom room and I only stopped because it ate my pink pikmen and I didn't realize because I was controlling Britany while they were moving

I assumed if you did not get Olimar to the drake before days end it would be game over. I've made it all the way to the room with the lights but then I got trapped in there and didn't have enough of the flying ones to open up the trap doors...hopefully I can finish this level now before pulling all my hair out 🤣. You're a lifesaver, I lost sooo many pikmin in that cave because that golden slimy thing kept on grabbing me (had no idea that you could distract it) and I felt like giving up (spent my time collecting fruit in other levels instead), but now I feel like I can try it myself again.

Here from P3 Deluxe. This boss is some bullshit lmao, though it's good to know you don't have to do it all in one day. I think I'll give the exploit a try too to make running around this dump less stressful

Hawelo92, there is actually a way for the plasm wraith to target you, in Chuggaconroy's let's play, he put Olimar in the water of the second area, the wraith can't go in the water, if you make it so it can't get to Olimar, it will target the captain your controlling

The Mysterious life form can't reach you in water, makes a good hiding place

Did you know in the second room, keeping Olimar in the water will prevent the Mysterious Lifeform from getting him, which buys you some time. It still makes loops around the room and is waiting for Brittany to grab him out

I had to learn to calm my mind before doing this, I get nervous and make a lot of mistakes here, but its not hard.

Formidable Oak is Wistful Wild. The Tower is where Dream Den was, the Plasm Wraith is where the Bzzt-Rocket landed, and so on.

There is a glitch that lets you enter the oak from the back way but it's hard to do but it work

I use blue Pikmin when carrying Olimar, because up ahead in the oak, there are water sections where Brittany can hide with the Pikmin. The Mysterious Life-Form can't go in the water.

Plasma wraith is my absolute favorite it can change it's form at will from solid to liquid

I never played pikmin 3 and I didn't think much about the plasm wraith. But after hearing all of these theories about him being the physical manifestation of umibozu with the mindset of a obsessed lover, I understand how creepy it really is.

In pikmin 3 deluxe ultra spicy mode it would have been even worse if the plasm wrath AI was much smarter and he’s actually faster so u could get corned and it would add some difficulty to this section

I was really bad at this game when I was 8 but somehow I beat the game but sadly got the bad ending I'm hyped for the remastered and the new pikmin (4) to be out so I can replay it and not have a pikmin extinction almost every day.

Anyone else realize that if the flying Pikmin carrying Olimar would of just flew don’t the tree they would of been fine? (I know that the captains would still have to go through the tree with the rest of the Pikmin but at least they wouldn’t have to worry about Olimar)
