Tip: If Oatchi is drinking nectar to heal, you can press the disband button to finish the animation right away. (Oatchi still does the little shake animation when he does it, but it’s still quicker than when he’s drinking nectar)
Wish I knew earlier, was fighting Empress the 2nd time and since there was so much nectar out, Oatchi stopped to have a drink. I had everyone on Oatchi’s back, and since he took his sweet time healing, Empress rolled him over and I lost a bunch of men 🫡
It’s really cool that the game lets you just try every combination, made easier if you already have some of the cards (one of them being the first treasure most people find in the stage)
Unless I'm assuming something wrong, I think each digit only has 2 possible values anyway. There's only 2 Hearts cards, 2 Diamonds cards, and 2 Clubs cards in the game, and it seems the game randomises which ones are in Hero's Hideaway and which are in Dream Home of Giant's Hearth. There's only really 8 combinations in the game, and since you're always going to find at least one card in Hideaway before reaching the safe, that narrows it down to only 4 valid combinations, since one digit is now given. Even better, whichever combination is used in Hideaway, the opposite combination will open the safe in Dream Home.
@@BobbyFluffy interesting hypothesis, but after checking another playthrough it seems like the cards themselves are randomized, and there's more than just 2 assets for each card because there's more than just 2 potential numbers for any given card suit.

Next is the night expeditions. Complete the first one to finish the main story. Then you can work on starting and completing the last 2 areas. The 5th one should be 100% doable in 1 day but the real final one will take 2 days for 100%.

@@pikminman13 The idea is to do everything the game tracks without taking shortcuts. How will you Dandori when you HAVE to build all the bridges? If I didn't include that, it would pretty much be exactly the same as this current run only without Dingo. And as for no deaths, no-death runs are already a popular speedrun category in Pikmin games, so it fits right in.
@@Bobb11881 this means a death is an instant fail state that voids the entire run. i get that people do it, but thats the runners decision, its beyond your typical speedrun.
@@pikminman13 Well it's just a ruleset I came up with. I have no authority here. If the community wants to make this an official category with deaths allowed, and a separate category with no deaths allowed, that's their decision. Plus the rewind feature exists and would likely be allowed in a No Death version of this category, so deaths would just lose time instead of negating the entire run.
@@samschofield9452 I'm talking about the very beginning when he was going to get pikmin out of the onion. Instead of just swapping the choices he resets the day.
