Interesting because Lu Edmonds here is simply playing the guitar part on the song which the original PIL guitarist, Keith Levine, wrote. Levine, and his work on the first PIL album, was a huge influence on Geordie.

Especially not the king emperor of punk but I was a self respecting punk (I’m 50 now) and one thing me and all my self respecting punk friends abhorred being told what we were allowed to say or think. Punk was, starting with John Lydon himself, fiercely individualistic and violently opposed to any form of dogma or credo. We were free thinkers and free speech absolutists. Some might even use the word anarchists. Punks were often very rude and John himself still is if needs be. You can hear king Lydon himself make fun of Roseanne Barr for being overweight in a video you can find on RU-vid. From John Lydon’s own words “if you deserve it you’ll get it”.
I was there...... and yes youre right.... a lot of people were ticking boxes.... they had fooking chairs and picnic blankets,,,, urgh,... but it wasnt just at this stage it was the general vibe this year... total tory sell out... actually made me feel quite ill for the first few days... ad then i had an lightbulb moment and realised that these chairs and blankets were a piece of piss to walk over and getting up the front of stages was no longer a 3 hours push/squash/push mission ;)

what is wrong with this crowd ? PIL is great, Johnny is great, liké Always, and everybody look so fucking quiet. I would jump everywhere and sing (badly) along ! PIL has still so much juce ! Come on, jump !!!
