i love that you're not a knife snob and you like and keep the knives you like regardless of maker or price. You sir, are a man's man, and a role model. Thank you AKB.
the sheer amount of traditional slipjoints you own is truly the mark of advancement in being a knife bro. I expected to see "the usual suspects" in 3-5 steel variations each + a bunch of ugly overbuilt man hole lifters, but so far 16 minutes in I see a lot of really cool and realistically pleasant designs!
Came for the brief "how to setup a RU-vid video" but stayed for the great collection. Appreciate seeing a proper collection where $1200+ custom OTFs are interspersed with cheap $15 beaters, and everything in between 👍
The most disinterested I've ever seen a collector has been about their collection. Always enjoy your videos, your dry humor, and the cool stuff you show. It's thanks to you that I got both a Lionsteel Beerlow and the exact same #14 GEC Barlow (at retail, somehow). Definitely snagging one of your slipjoints when they come out! Blue micarta's all right but the Sickly green and Rotten banana look great.
It’s not just the knives that impress me, it’s the fashion, the hair, the style on display. AKB does us 45 year old married dad types proud. Good job Bro! 😎
@@AdvancedKnifeBro Bro FCK whoever said that! the only thing people in the 20s are better at than those of us who have lived a while is looking young. My guess would be that comment was from a dude who has never seen an actual vagina IRL
I dunno There’s a line between a funny burn that I can appreciate and just a complete miserable piece of shit. And since it wasn’t funny- it got canned. Hope he reads this!
@@AdvancedKnifeBro just kidding about the Christmas machete video... I promise to include it with Die Hard 1 and 2 Walton's Christmas and Christmas Story marathon day after Thanksgiving couch crash.
Love your dry humour and your no bullshit reviews and opinions. A lot of knife channels will scream praise about a knife because of the designer and because it was sent to them but you cut the bullshit and say it how it is. You say what you love, like, dislike and hate straight to the point.
As a knife RU-vidr how did I just now find this channel? Clearly the RU-vid algorithm is broken, because 90% of the videos I watch are knife channels and I also make knife videos and today is the first time I found your channel. You have a new subscriber.
49:09 this is when the sprint to the end really kicks into high gear and he stops closing knives. Has razor under elbow for many minutes, riveting stuff!
i can not watch any of your vids without getting a laugh. i really enjoy the showmanship and all around goofieness. and you actually USE your knifes i live in the mountains and work in a factory my knives get hard use so i like seeing the extent of the craftsmanship in the products im buying
Finally watched the 2nd half - want to see the clean up - 3 huge hand rakes into the drawers - 1 wipe on the table and Crack another beer -w a GEC 🤣🤣🍻👊💥💥FN THE G.O.A.T.
Just a totally normal, not-a-serial-killer review of hundreds of cutting implements. Featuring a disheveled man with a haunted look behind his eyes, as he gets lost in his memories that only honed steel can elicit... just a completely pedestrian Monday activity that anyone might take part in.
I’m a collector of things also. I’ve got WAAAAY too many Milwaukee and Knipex tools for any reasonable person. 57 tools batteries. 13 of them are the 12.0 batteries.
Lend me one please, lol, I cut a wire under power and it made KABLOW and it chipped my Knipex (as in blew a chunk right out of the edge). My heart though! Thank goodness those are heavily insulated.
I did it six months ago! This was me fullfilling the promise in that video. Also it is linked at the end. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XHGTUF2Y2mc.html
Very awesome collection of traditionals. I'm also pretty interested in seeing your other collections though. Talk us through your hifi set and vinyl collection?
I don’t really like these sorts of videos really. But sometimes I have to mix it up- and this cuts out my writing process which is a huge barrier to me making content
@@AdvancedKnifeBro Don`t fret. I presume people are aware of the time and effort it takes to write, shoot and montage a video... or at least I hope they are. God I hope they are :D
35:50 I bought a 7cm Black Higonokami out of curiosity. I subsequently sanded off the Black coating because why not? I keep the blade razor sharp and use it to cut down bamboo skewers into thirds, and then sharpen and end on each. Robust toothpicks to clean my weed pipe, and as cheap toothpicks for my teeth. Not the ones that clean the pipe of course...
Nice collection! Thanks for doing one of these videos. It’s nice to know what you have and reference for your other videos. Also I love the Cold Steel AK-47 it’s my favorite knife.
Wow! Now that is an advanced knife collection! The Higo No Kami has the same box as my Japan made pruning shear. They like to design it like a box of chocolate. 😄
Cool collection & huge grats on being able to design a knife yourself and have it made! Given what's on this channel I'm not sure if calling yourself the brains behind it is the best marketing idea though.
Love those AKB Stump Lifters! My first serious knife was a scout knife that rode around in my pocket wherever I went as a kid. And it was the fact that I could not find the thing decades later that got me started on my knife mania. I realized that I was reaching for a knife that I no longer had with me to accomplish tasks throughout the day, then wasting time looking for something to do the job.
Avant-garde Blade Comrade, I’m super psyched for your slip joint coming out and fully intend to get my filthy paws on it. I hope one day you also design an overbuilt monstrosity as an ode to your love of cold steels- a love that has inspired me, or afflicted, depending who you ask. E.g. I have the 4-max scout arriving in three different colors today. The planet is on fire. The growth of inequity is in proportion with the diminishing of many’s rights. Our rulers are myopic ghouls who refuse to cede power to younger and wiser people. Most of them are owned by unfathomably wealthy, vampiric perverts with breeding kinks. BUT AT LEAST THE KNIVES ARE FUCKING SWEET!!! Thanks for the great content.
Just sat and photographed (almost) all of my knives for my channel. I can see why you put this video off, it's an undertaking to dig them all out, line them all up etc etc 😂
Stay away from unboxing videos and gushing over packaging and cans with cartoons on them and I will keep watching your awesome and entertaining shows. Thank you sir.
Thank you for the trip down memory lane, and a glimpse at some stuff never reviewed. Looking forward to when the stump lifters become available. How much of your flashlight collection do you still have?
12:05 As a kid, my Dad had a lot of pocket knives (and some old-school fixed blade 'combat' knives, one antique bayonet, and a Khukri given to him by an old Indian fella that returned a favour. They were at the time for me a 'meh' thing. You know, they were just stuff Dad had. I so wish that he had kept those knives over the years. But he'd either lose them, let them rust in a tackle box, or loan them to someone. No bloody respect, I say (joke).
I'd totally pay money for an AKB knife. Though seeing your voice come out of your face is creeping me out. Still, awesome on a channel knife. I hope the timing and price are right.
Please do the Film Noir Box review ! And send those beer bottle openers to Europe. I'll have the blue micarta one to open some of the best Belgian beers...
20:35 Can I also reveal my lack of understanding as to why the Buck 110 has some sort of religious-like status amongst old-school knife nerds? Yeah, it's a great knife and you can sharpen it on a rock, but have you seen what Felix Immler can do with a basic Swiss Army knife?
@@AdvancedKnifeBro I just looked them up again, and yes, the one at the timestamp is the Tinker Deluxe. The normal Tinker is basically a Spartan, except with a Phillips screwdriver instead of a corkscrew. Then there is the Super Tinker, with the Scissors and that hook because the back is wider I guess. And then the Deluxe one with also the pliers.
Thats a lot of knives. And you actually look cool. Not sure if the zaddy girls are into, and yes i just learned about what that wood mans, so i had to use.
