What a dream come true it was to have these two Grandes Dames of the Philippine music industry - Ms. PILITA CORRALES and Ms. CELESTE LEGASPI - sing one of my arrangements! I could not think of a "perfect tandem" to perform a PRE-WAR SONGS MEDLEY than these two music legends and icons. This showcased the creative genius of one of the most well loved and well respected directors of musicals, TV specials, concerts, TV shows, etc. - AL QUINN. He made the musical number look like it was shot in black and white for television. To remind televiewers that there was nothing wrong with their TV sets, he interspersed shots of the audience in color. Very clever indeed!
